In the Fourth Study - The Prevention Courses, Jesus will help you consider wrong things that are trying to get into your life that you never wanted in there, but, didn’t know how to stop it.

God gives you spiritual armor for you to put on. It provides you with protection against bad things that are trying to get into your life, such as life difficulties. But, you must keep some very important things in mind:

• Your Jesus-armor only deals with external things that are trying to get in that you and Jesus resist together. If you try to resist them using human effort, it won’t work; you need Jesus’ power.


• Your Jesus-armor DOESN’T deal with things that are already in you. God’s power-attitudes in Matthew 5:3-12 must be used to remove those things you have already accepted into your life.


• Your Jesus-armor only deals with external things that you DON’T WANT coming into our life. If you don’t see anything wrong with something, YOU will let it in and Jesus’ armor won’t block it out. You have a God-given free will and God guards it with great intensity.

These truths are why Jesus will be taking you through the other studies first. Until you have a better grasp of what God wants in your life, your spiritual armor from Jesus will basically do nothing for you. But once you have started taking care of joining Jesus and resisting wrong, bad, and evil with Him, and once you have started working with Jesus to get those the wrong, bad, and evil things out of you, and once you have started letting Jesus help you bring your desires into allignment with the Bible, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in your conscience, you are better ready to start using your armor to prevent wrong, bad, and evil things from getting into you in the first place. You will never be perfect; but, you must start the process of being cleansed and purified by Jesus’ training through these courses.

Eph 6:10 (NIV) Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. This is dealing with you, the warrior inside the armor. If you are yielding to Jesus and His power, then that will activate Jesus’ armor in a very dynamic and successful way.

Eph 6:11 (NIV) Put on the full armor of God SO THAT you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Jesus will be taking you through steps that enable you to put on and use each item of His armor. THAT will empower you to take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Eph 6:12 (NIV) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Up until now, you have probably been winning against the competition, arguing against your adversaries, trying work your way to the top, defeating your opponents, and holding grudges against people. You learn from Jesus how to use your armor against Satan your true enemy. And, you will learn how to treat yourself and the people around you.

Eph 6:13 (NIV) Therefore put on the full armor of God, SO THAT when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. It is true that you already have a problem that is bothering you the most. But, you don’t want to always be behind the problems of life. Jesus wants to help you get ahead of the game. His plan is to help you with your issue with life and then help you learn how to use those principles to PREVENT future potential problems.

Eph 6:14 (NIV) STAND FIRM then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, With God’s power-attitudes firmly locked inside your heart, you become ready to start putting on each item of your armor. Here you have a belt of truth that you will need to learn what it is, where to put it, how to get it on, how to keep it on, and how to use it. You also have the same needs for the breastplate of righteousness. Jesus will be teaching and empowering you to get this done.

Eph 6:15 (NIV) and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Jesus will be teaching you what it is, where to put it, how to get it on, how to keep it on, and how to use it. It will protect you from satanic attacks that try to add other problems to the problem you already have with life. And, it will protect you from the negative spiritual food that has been feeding your struggles with life.

Eph 6:16 (NIV) In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. This item isn’t put on; it is used by you and Jesus to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Jesus will be teaching you skills for being able to keep it in place where the flaming arrows are coming from.

Eph 6:17 (NIV) Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. The helmet of salvation is worn and the sword of the Spirit is held and used. With the helmet of salvation, Jesus will be teaching you what it is, where to put it, how to get it on, how to keep it on, and how to use it. With the sword of the Spirit, Jesus will be developing your skills for how to apply it to the battle.

Eph 6:18 (NIV) And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Now Jesus is taking us back to the warrior; He is telling you how to allow the Holy Spirit to assist you in what to be praying for. As He teaches you these things, He will be preparing YOU for PREVENTING things from getting into your life that you never wanted in there. He will be showing you how to get His power working in your behalf by taking you through these courses.
