John 14:12 (NIV) I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

We study the Gospels, not so we can pattern after Him. We study the Gospels so we will give our life over to Him. There is no way we, on our own, are going to do the dynamic ministry that Jesus did in the Gospels. Yet, Jesus is saying that we are going to be doing that very thing. If we yield on a continuous basis to Jesus' ministry, He will do all of it through us. We will no longer be living our life through our body. We will LET Jesus live His life and do His ministry through our body. It is always going to be a choice. Every moment of every day we will be able to take our body back. We will choose to give in to Jesus moment by moment. The more we yield to Him, the more He will live and minister in and through us to our needs and the needs of the people around us. What is going to help us yield to Him? Jesus' peace.
