The full armor of God doesn't just block sins and bad things we do against people. It also resists those things that are damaging our ministry. Even though we have opened our communication with God and closed our communication with Satan, we still have to learn to submit to God's slightest wish. There are things that God will not tolerate and there are things that just dampen the relationship. God doesn't require us to be a top producer. God doesn't demand that we produce 100 times what He has sown in our life like the people described in Jesus' parable about the sower in the field.

Mat 13:23 (NIV) But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."

We don't have to yield our life and ministry to perfect behavior and ministerial performance in order to spend an eternity with God. But, if we do go all out for the cause of God for setting people free, then God has awesome plans for every sacrifice we make.

If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

These issues of ministerial dedication and commitment to God are dependent on the degree of relationship we WANT to build. It is up to us whether or not we push forward in our time, resources, and effort. In Ministerial Spiritual Warfare we will be studying how to use the full armor of God to resist those things that interfere with top ministerial production. As we go over these things, we will be able to gradually improve the ministry portion of our relationship with God. Each of us will have to decide whether or not that area of study is something we want. So, let's get started.

Every opportunity to do something ministerial does not fall into the category of working for God. There are people that God doesn't want us ministering to, some are people He never wants us ministering to, and others He doesn't want ministered to right now. The full armor of God is capable of helping us filter out those people that are not our assignment. Another issue we will be looking at is our human limitations. We can only be in one place at a time, we only have so many resources, our body only has so much energy, and there is only so much time in a day. God, working through our full armor, will be wanting to take charge of how we handle these limitations.
