I Know What Happened To Me!
Isn't this guy incredible? It didn't take him long to realize that he was an expert in one area. "One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!" No one is going to take this fact from him. He has an experience.

He realizes that a man with an experience isn't at the mercy of a man with an argument.

It wasn't until the "officials" kept pressing him for his opinion that he finally gave it. His theology was a little off. But, he wasn't afraid to stand up to people who could cut him off from his place of worship. His parents weren't willing to put their faith on the line. But, this ex-blind man gave his testimony with great conviction. This is what we want in our life. We have to have the same commitment to the God Who has healed us. Jesus will put His stamp of approval on us if we will step out and minister in the area of His miracle in our life. If someone asks us a question that is beyond the scope of our “certification", all we have to do is take them to someone who is qualified to answer that question. We don't have to just say, "I don't know." We can tell them that we know someone who does know the answer. We can take them to someone who is more qualified than we are. Then we will have helped them to establish a relationship with the person who is teaching us.

God WILL Come Through For Us
Now, let's go back to the issue of sins, habits, and addictions. We have just looked at the wonderful benefits of living the victorious life. Step by step we will start living a life that is much more exciting to us. As that happens we will be living a life that is much more beneficial to others. And, all during that time we will become much more pleasing to God. Our relationship with God won't just be one of no punishment for the sins we are committing and have committed. We will become more and more usable in God's work.
Our relationship with God will develop into one where we are able to do supernatural things as God works in and through us.

Only constant faith in God's power to help us through this rehabilitation time will work. We have to believe that coming near to God will be rewarded with Him coming near to us. We have to believe that He will reward our earnest seeking of Him. We must never give up. Some aspects of being delivered from various sins, habits, and addictions will hurt for a short season and then victory will come. The things of God will bring the deep and intimate relationship that we seek. We just have to keep reading, listening to, and exposing our self to God and the things of God. They are our power to win this battle.

The most delicate balance has to be maintained here. This step in me getting my breakthrough took me almost a year to finally achieve. Sometimes I wanted to determine my way to the finish line. Other times I wanted to quit and go back to a casual relationship with God. I never wanted to go back to Satan, of course. But the feeding of those sins, habits, and addictions were starting to be neglected. Reaching out to God was taking up a lot of my time. Then I would hear another good sermon or read something inspiriting in a good Christian book. That would get me willing to read my Bible, faithfully attend church, start listening to Christian music, and doing personal and family devotions again. The battle raged on and on for a year. Gradually I and my family got stronger in our commitment and we got closer to God in our relationship. God was coming near to us. We felt much more powerful.
