What happens to some Christians as they get older is they settle into those areas of Christianity where they feel comfortable and safe. If they had attended classes at some school or college, they would be graduated by now. With that education they would be applying for better paying or more exciting jobs. The training would have prepared them for a better life. They would be able to go out and DO things they had been trained to do. That may not be true of many Christian's training; but, it is true of "real" Christianity. Let's read what the Bible says should be happening to maturing Christians.

Heb 5:12 (NIV) In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!

None of us want to have this happen to us. The way to keep it from happening is to be exposing ourselves to the things of God so as to start DOING the work of God. If we know when we are qualified to start ministering to, training, and helping others, we will "graduate" in that area of our life. If there is no graduation day, we will become a professional student.

The day we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior produced a finished work in us. We became of person who was saved from our sins. What many didn't realize was the fact that it "qualified" us for sharing our faith with others. God took many of us through a long process of bring us to that graduation moment. But, once we experienced His salvation work in our life, we knew what it was, how it worked, and what it took to get it. We experienced it personally. If we share something we haven't experienced our self, we are talking over our head. We are in unknown territory. But, the moment we get that area taken care of by God, we are "certified" to minister (teach and help) in that area with others who need it.

What we are going to be doing in Sanctification Spiritual Growth is to start getting life changes in various areas of current defeat. One by one we are going to experience the victory over things that had taken control over our life. The moment we start living the victorious life over that former defeat, we are "certified" to start ministering (training and guiding others) in that area. We all know that we will have to be sure we are completely transformed in that area. But, once that happens, we are ready to graduate from that training and are qualified to work for God through that miracle. From that time on we will be able to see miracles start happening in other's lives. The same procedures we have learned to gain the victory over various habits and addictions will be the ones others must use.
