Getting To Know God
Jesus Reveals God, The Father
Mat 11:27 (NIV) All things have been committed to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Jesus’ main objective is to help you get to know God, the Father. He chooses to reveal Him to all those who accept Him as their Lord, Savior, and King. The way Jesus helps you get to know God, the Father is to represent Him to you.

Jesus Reveals The Father’s Heart
John 6:37-40 (NIV) All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and whoever comes to Me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do My will but to do the will of Him Who sent Me. And this is the will of Him Who sent Me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day. For My Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise Him up at the last day. Jesus is showing us the heart of the Father; He is letting us know what God’s will is for all of us. This helps us love our heavenly Father and know Him better.

Jesus Reveals The Father’s Work
John 14:8-10 (NIV) Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t you know Me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? The words I say to you are not just My own. Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, Who is doing His work.” So, when we see Jesus doing His work all through the Gospels, we see God, the Father’s works. Now that you have seen the Father through Jesus, it is time for you to meet God, the Holy Spirit.

Meet The Holy Spirit
You Have Been Experiencing The Holy Spirit
John 16:8 (NIV) When He (the Holy Spirit) comes, He will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment. Ever since you became mature enough to know the difference between right and wrong, you have been experiencing the Holy Spirit in your conscience. The ONLY reason you have the ability to know when you are doing something right or wrong is because the Holy Spirit is speaking it into your conscience. But, before you got Jesus’ power through salvation and justification, you went ahead and did wrong things anyway. James 4:17 (NIV) Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.

You have known the Holy Spirit and how He sees things for most of your life. Prior to Jesus’ power, you didn’t yield to the Holy Spirit’s influence; but, you and He have been just as close as your conscience. So, if you will go back to some of the things your conscience dealt with you about, you will familiarize yourself with some of your experiences with the Holy Spirit. That will help you get to know Him better. That will help you see how He has been influencing you to treat yourself and others better. You will see His love for you and the people around you.

The Holy Spirit Represents Jesus
John 16:13 (NIV) But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come. Jesus is the Truth; and, the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth. The Holy Spirit will be speaking directly to your spirit and teaching you more and more about Jesus: He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears.

John 16:14 (NIV) He will bring glory to Me BY taking from what is Mine and making it known to you. The Holy Spirit won’t be talking to you about Himself; He will be revealing more and more of Jesus to you. He will take the Scriptures in the Bible and helping you get to know Jesus in a much better way. He will be helping you yield to Jesus so He can live in and through you. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, you and Jesus will be working to make your life better. Then you and Jesus will be using your breakthroughs to make the lives of others better.
John 16:15 (NIV) All that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is Mine and make it known to you. The more the Holy Spirit reveals Jesus to you, the more you will know your heavenly Father. The character of the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit will become clear to you as the Holy Spirit guides you into all truth. If you look over these three verses, you will see the oneness of God. You will see the person of the Father, the person of Jesus, and the person of the Holy Spirit. But, you will see how they are in total unity. This will help you understand and love God in all three personal manifestations.

The Holy Spirit Is In You
He Makes Your Body A Temple Of God
1 Cor 6:19-20 (NIV) Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. Through the Holy Spirit being in you, you have GOD in you. The Holy Spirit being in you brings Jesus and the Father into you. This gives you direct access to full communication with your heavenly Father and Jesus. The Holy Spirit is tying you to them so you can receive all God has to offer you.

You Got The Holy Spirit In You Through Your New Birth
John 3:6-7 (NIV) Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at My saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The Holy Spirit caused you to become a child of God, a member of His family, and a citizen of God’s eternal Kingdom. Rom 8:9 (NIV) You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. When you were born again, the Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of Christ, came into you.

He Speaks To You Spirit To Spirit
Rom 8:16 (NIV) The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. The reason you know you have been born into God’s family is because the Holy Spirit is speaking that fact into your spirit. Now that you have Spirit-to-spirit communication, God doesn’t have to use words to talk to you. Jesus can make things known to you in an instant. You can start knowing, seeing, understanding, and feeling things straight from the Spirit of God. As you are reading your Bible, a truth will all of a sudden become clear and obvious to you. As you are going about your day, what you should do will suddenly be clear to you.

He Gives You Power
1 John 4:4 (NIV) You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One Who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. This is Jesus’ power that will empower you to win over your body, the world, and the devil. The Holy Spirit won’t just be guiding you into knowledge and information ABOUT Jesus, He will connect you directly to Jesus and His power. Jesus is in you through the presence of the Holy Spirit. You and Jesus will be working together through the Holy Spirit.

He Is Praying In And Through You
Rom 8:26-27 (NIV) In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He Who searches our hearts (our heavenly Father) knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. We don’t get ANYTHING from God, if we don’t ask for it. SO, the Holy Spirit helps us pray for things that we wouldn’t typically pray for. He even takes the damage and hurts that are deep inside our heart and brings them before God for healing.
