Jesus is the answer to not only fear issues, He is the answer to all the aspects of your life. However, that relationship with Him requires the two issues that have been discussed; they are...asking and faith. First, you have to ask Jesus for things so as to invite Him into each and every situation. Second, you have to believe, have faith, trust, rely, and depend on Him.

You may be working on a job and are trusting, believing, having faith, and relying on the fact that they will pay you. You probably wouldn’t be willing to go to all that trouble and do all that work, if you weren’t going to get paid. But, there are probably a lot of reasons for you to “believe” they WILL pay you.

Faith works the same in the world around you like it works in your relationship with Jesus. So, let’s say you are working for a company that has a lot of employees. All of them are being paid; so you BELIEVE you will get the same treatment; you believe because of other people. If you have worked for any length of time with the company, then you believe because you have a history of regularly being paid by them. If you are friends with the owner, that would really help you BELIEVE you will get paid; you believe because you have a relationship with them.

Now let’s take this job situation, that a lot of people are in, and see how it relates to having faith in Jesus. There are three aspects to the faith that a person has in the job illustration. Other people are being paid regularly; you have a payment history with the company; and, you have a special relationship with the owner. Now, let’s look at them with Jesus.

1. Large quantities of people have been healed, blessed, and helped by Jesus. If He will do it for them, you can assume He will do it for you.


2. No matter what your relationship with Jesus has been, He has been taking care of you by giving you all the benefits of this planet. That gives you a history with Him.


3. Soon you will have experienced many special miracles and blessings from Him. That will give you a close relationship with Him; and, it will eventually help you accept Him as your best friend. That will really help you have faith in Him.

In the job illustration, there are six things you would have to do to gain the benefits of that job.

1. DESIRE, you wouldn’t be willing to apply for it, if for some reason you didn’t want it.


2. STUDY, if your research, talking with other people, and interviewing for the job didn’t help you know it was the job for you, you wouldn’t take the job.


3. PRAYER, if you wanted it because all your research caused you to want it, if you didn’t apply or ask for it, you wouldn’t get it.


4. BELIEVE, if during your talking to other people, your own personal research, and your interview with the company you didn’t trust them, you wouldn’t apply for the job.


5. LOVE, love may be too strong of a word here; but, if you ended up not LIKING the people in the company, you wouldn’t apply for it.


6. FAITH-ACTION, if you got the job but didn’t show up for work, you still wouldn’t get the benefits of HAVING the job.

Without these six things, none of the benefits you would have gained from that company would ever be made available to you. That is the way your relationship with Jesus works.
