Right now you are free to choose to commit sins or not. You and those around you are free to contaminate each other, if you want to. But, if you choose to join God’s Kingdom, you will be totally free to choose anything you want EXCEPT SIN. If you want to be a part of God’s Kingdom, you have to be willing to lose your desire to yield to and participate in sin now. AND, you have to be willing to lose your ability and your opportunity to think or commit sin in eternity.

As long as you remain in your current body, you will remain with the right to decide to commit sins; but, if you do, you forfeit your right to enter God’s Kingdom. But, just as soon as Jesus comes back to be King, we who have decided to be a part of His Kingdom will have already agreed to this one loss of freedom. We will all lose the ABILITY to think, feel, say, or do harm or destroy. We, who have joined this Kingdom, have already agreed to live our lives according to the knowledge of the Lord. It requires that we only do good things to each other.

In Jesus’ Kingdom, the ways of God are going to dominate the planet like the waters cover the sea. If a person isn’t willing to agree to these requirements, they will not be allowed to join God’s Kingdom. It should be easy for everyone to understand that any other procedure would not produce a perfect Kingdom. Be WILLING to give up your right to sin (do bad things to yourself and others) and Jesus will set you free from the problems you are facing with addiction. If you are willing, Jesus will empower you to actually give up your right to sin.

Remember the tree stump that a branch grew out of? An old tree that has been cut down and is only a stump would look like its life is over. That was a word picture of Jesus and His Kingdom growing out of a world that seems like it is doomed. The current situations of the governments of this world can give you the feeling that there just can’t be a good government. You can feel like all politicians will always be corrupt. However this “Root of Jesse,” Jesus, is going to prove to you that He is totally different from anyone you have ever met or heard of.

Everyone is making their decision right now as to whether or not they want Jesus to be their King. Everyone! Here is God’s rule concerning who is and who isn’t accepting Jesus as their King: After a person dies, if they haven’t allowed Jesus to ALREADY be their King, then they have voted against Jesus and His Kingdom. John 3:18 (NIV) Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already BECAUSE he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
