“Living Victoriously Introduction 3”

A spirit being is WHAT you are; it is the real you and CAN base its decisions on spiritual concepts.

You Are A Spirit Being

You Are A Child Of God
You Are Being Trained For Eternity
Rev 1:6 (AKJV) And has made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Rev 5:10 (AKJV) And has made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. 1 Cor 6:3 (NIV) Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! As a child of God, a member of His family, and a citizen of His Kingdom, you need to be taught by Jesus how to live this kind of life. Jesus lived this life in front of us so we could see and understand what He has in mind. He gave us instructions; and, provided us with provisions and power to become a mature child of God. As a spirit being, you have opportunities to grow in a mighty way.

SPIRITual Growth
Eph 4:11-13 (NIV) It was He (Jesus) Who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

These studies are from apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Jesus is using them to speak to you so you can be prepared for works of service, so that you may be built up until you reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Applying Yourself
Jesus said in John 15:1-5 (NIV): “I am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. The pressure isn’t on you; all you have to do is put your faith, trust, reliance, and dependency on Jesus and He will empower you to do the rest.

Just Yield To Jesus
Apart from Me you can do nothing: The first and most important thing for you is, you need to DESIRE to grow spiritually. One of the things that can help you desire this is the fact that you want Jesus to help you with your issue with addiction. That desire is helping you WANT to “do what it takes” to get Jesus’ help. Another thing that can help you want to grow spiritually is to see what God has for those who do. He is not only empowering you to be set free from your struggles with addiction, He is helping you trade it for The Victorious Christian Life. If you understand and DESIRE to get all God has for you, it will automatically drive out those things that are hurting you.

Learn How To Yield To Jesus
If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit: There are two parts to your growing spiritually and being set free from your struggles with addiction. It is a simple matter of learning how to get your eyes off of human help and put them on Jesus. The moment your faith, trust, dependency, and reliance are on you or other humans is the moment you cease to remain in Jesus. Your success in life and in eternity are dependent on you learning how to LET Jesus teach you how to get your needs met through Him. If a solution doesn’t come right away through Jesus and you start looking for some other way, then you aren’t remaining in Jesus. Let Jesus show you how to win at life so you will automatically win in eternity.
Looking At Jesus’ Purpose For Your Growth
Jesus gave a special parable, which is an illustration for explaining spiritual truths. In this parable He explains the correlation between your success here on earth and your success in eternity.

Training For Eternity
Luke 19:12-13 (NIV) He (Jesus) said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’

Luke 19:14-15a (NIV) But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’ He was made king, however, and returned home.

Luke 19:15b-17 (NIV) Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it. The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’ ‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’

Luke 19:18-19 (NIV) The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more.’ His master answered, ‘You take charge of five cities.’

Luke 19:20-23 (NIV) Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.’ His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow? Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?’

Luke 19:24-26 (NIV) Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’ ‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’ He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away.

Luke 19:27 (NIV) But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them--bring them here and kill them in front of me.’”

Living For Eternity
All of the Biblical principles are capable of being used in your daily life. As a matter of fact, Jesus expects you to apply them to everything you do. If you live a Biblical life, you are living for eternity. For every Biblical principle you add to your life-system, you are making your life count for eternity. Every human or world system you use during your day only counts for here on earth. The servant that increased his ten minas did so in representation of your activities here on earth. The ten cites he is being put in charge of represent your eternal opportunities in heaven. The power for this man to succeed in this life was represented in the minas. The provisions of Jesus to you will be a special power to live successfully. Without those minas, the servant wouldn’t have had an opportunity to succeed.

Living In Righteousness
If you take your salvation and justification and multiply them in your daily life, it prepares you for greater and greater rewards and opportunities in Jesus’ Kingdom. Now that you can understand spiritual things because of your new birth, you are ready to be trained in for being the best there is in Christ Jesus. He is ready to train you and advance you to as great a degree as you are willing. He leaves it up to you as to how much training and spiritual growth you are willing to allow Him to give you. He has made Himself totally available to you so you will have every opportunity to be very successful here and in eternity.
