John 7:17 (NIV) If anyone CHOOSES to do God’s will, he will find out whether My teaching comes from God or whether I speak on My own. When you chose to start studying and praying these things in these couses, Jesus started exposing you to God’s will. You could have chose to expose yourself to self-help training, the things of pleasure, how to get rich, or how to be popular. You had a lot of choices you could have made that would have shaped you and your future. But, that major, general, big decision set you on a path that is going to help you make choices and decisions based on this one major decision.

Mat 7:13-14 (NIV) Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Here is a choice that controls all your other decisions. You chose the small gate and the narrow road that leads to life. You rejected the wide gate and the broad road that leads to destruction. That was a major decision that will make a huge difference in all the other choices and decisions you will make.

John 15:16 (NIV) You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in My name. What if you didn’t have a choice being offered to you of being born again? If Jesus didn’t CHOOSE to offer His own life for you, then you COULDN’T decide to take the small gate and the narrow road that leads to life. Jesus had to choose us humans before we humans could take advantage of His choice: John 10:17-18 (NIV) The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life--only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.

1 Cor 15:58 (NIV) Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. As you decide to keep moving forward in pursuing Jesus, it makes it possible to you to do the same the next day. If you get off of the path for a little while, then you have to repent and go back where you left off. It’s like planting a garden, the reason you can harvest food is because you planted it. Gal 6:7 (NIV) Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

1 Cor 2:16 (NIV) “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. This means you can understand, analyze, apply, and process dynamic and powerful spiritual thoughts. This is a new ability for you; prior to salvation and justification, you couldn’t think any spiritual thoughts. 1 Cor 2:14 (NIV) The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1 Cor 2:9-10 (NIV) However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no MIND has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him”--but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. You can see into the future as the Holy Spirit explains the Bible to you. You are able to make your earthly choices and decisions based on those things that will enhance your eternal life. You don’t choose and decide like you are going to cease to exist when you die. You are deciding and determining to live this life in such a way that you are investing in your eternal future.

1 Cor 2:11-12 (NIV) For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit Who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. You know who you are, what you can do, and how to go about doing it. You know you are a child of God; you know that you can now live in Jesus’ power-life; and, you know how to apply The Six Biblical Principles so you can go about living The Victorious Christian Life.

1 Cor 2:13 (NIV) This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The Bible is telling you the truth about how life works here and how things are going to be in eternity. It is like a light has been turned on for you; before, you were walking around in darkness. You were being taught misconceptions, fake knowledge, and even lies. But, you couldn’t protect yourself from them because Jesus’ light wasn’t shining around you so you could make good decisions. But, with the light of Jesus shining all around you, you can see for yourself what is true and what is false. As Jesus and the Bible shine the light of truth on all of the things in this world, you can quickly SEE and MAKE good choices and good decisions.

What if someone lied to you and conviced you that what they were telling you was the truth? Your choices and decisions would be based on a lie. Light doesn’t tell you what to do, it just reveals the truth to you. It makes it POSSIBLE for you to base your choices and decisions on truth. As you submit your MIND to Jesus, He doesn’t make you do anything. He just opens it up so you can see clearly what is true and what is false. Then if you apply The Six Biblical Principles to the situation, you will be able to take what you SEE and get the power to do the right thing.
