Let’s spend some time looking at Kingdom opportunities. Some people think we will be sitting around on clouds, playing harps, and bored out of our minds. In this next Scripture, Jesus is explaining the correlations between the things we are doing here to how it will affect our activities in the Kingdom of God. In this parable (a story that has special spiritual meaning) Jesus is the King, we are the servants, the money (minas) Jesus gives us are our physical and spiritual gifts He gives us. The money that was increased from the money-gift are our physical and spiritual accomplishments while living on this planet.

Luke 19:12-26 He [Jesus] said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’ But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’

He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it. The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’ ‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’

The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more.’ His master answered, ‘You take charge of five cities.’

Notice how each one of these servants was given the same opportunity to be successful at life? This coin their master gave them was like the life God has given each of us. You can’t be born again, if you haven’t been born in the first place.

The next thing to notice is how God’s life-system works. The first servant took that same amount as everyone else and used it to earn ten more of what he was given. He used a financial system that was very productive. It was easy for this servant to know about such a financial system because he was working for a very successful master. All he had to do was copy his master’s methods and he was well on his way to success.

As you can see, we will have it all; everything will be so great and exciting that we will be thrilled that we decided to let Jesus cure us of the spiritual disease of sin. We aren’t going to be bored; we will have the greatest amount of fun, happiness, joy, and pleasure our special glorified body can stand.
