John 16:13-15 (NIV) But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to Me by taking from what is Mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is Mine and make it known to you.

• The first thing you need to know about the Holy Spirit is: “He will guide you into ALL truth.”


• The second thing you need to know about Him is: “He will bring glory to Jesus by taking from what is His and making it known to you.”


• The third thing you need to know is, He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears. Jesus is speaking to you through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit hears it from Jesus and “guides you into all truth.”

John 16:7 (NIV) But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. The Holy Spirit is so important to you that Jesus went away so He would come. Jesus was in a physical body that could only be in one place at at time. However, with the Holy Spirit coming in Acts chapter two, Jesus can be in large quantities of Christian bodies all at the same time.

John 16:8 (NIV) When He comes, He will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment. The way the Holy Spirit let you know you needed Jesus was to convict you of sin and righteousness and judgment He spoke to your conscience and helped you realize what was right and wrong, good and bad, and righteous and evil. The reason you were constantly aware of what you should and shouldn’t be doing was the Holy Spirit working in your conscience. He has been in constant communication with you from the moment you started knowing the difference between right and wrong. He has been your PERSONAL friend for a long time showing you that you needed Jesus’ help to live a better life.

1 Cor 6:19-20 (NIV) Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. The Holy Spirit is VERY gentle; when He came into you at salvation and justification, you may not have known that He came in. He is in you; but, you have to learn how to respond to Him. One of the first things He did, when He came into you, was to make sure you knew you were born again.

Rom 8:16 (NIV) The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. The reason you KNOW you have been born again and are God’s child is because the Holy Spirit is speaking to your spirit and telling you that you are God’s child. And, He is not only telling you that, He is speaking all truth to you Spirit-to-spirit. This isn’t a verbal communication; it is an instant knowing. As you read your Bible or go through these courses, the Holy Spirit empowers you to understand the meaning.

John 16:8 (NIV) When He comes, He will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment. Fortunately, God has provided us with the Holy Spirit, Who will help us with our problems. When a baby gets old enough to start crawling, it goes places that have potential harm. Parents try to baby proof their house but sooner or later the baby will find something that can harm it. Usually the watchful eye of its parent sees the danger and intervenes. That is what the Holy Spirit and our heavenly Father do for us. They watch over our lives and provide us with warnings and solutions to our problems.

Rom 8:27 (NIV) And He Who searches our hearts [our heavenly Father] knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. We don’t always know what we should be praying and asking God to help us with. So the Holy Spirit prays and asks God for those things we need. He helps us with our prayers so we will invite our heavenly Father into important situations. The Holy Spirit not only connects us with Jesus, He also connects us with our heavenly Father. He is to One Who opens the doors of communication with them.

You don’t have to worry about these problems you face. The Holy Spirit is going to be with you every step of the way. He will use this struggle you are having with fear and will see to it that you learn the things you need to learn.

The Holy Spirit is going to always be there taking you through the New Testament. He is going to be explaining how to resist the damaging temptations and pressures that come your way. Also, Jesus is going to be using these studies to help you learn how to better cooperate with God’s Spirit so you can win at life. That is why He has seen to it that all these things have been put together.
