How Do You Submit
Your Life To Jesus Through Loving?

Opening Doors To People
Mark 12:31b (NIV) “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Loving yourself in a Biblical way and loving yourself in a selfish way are polar opposites. If you can see the wonderful things Jesus has done in you, then you can see how much that would help others. Loving yourself in a Biblical way is like you being a river. The more Jesus does for you, the more you allow Him to flow through you to others. Loving yourself in a selfish way is like you being a lake. The more He blesses and transforms you, the more you feel like you are better than others.

Luke 6:38 (NIV) Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. The more you see and appreciate what Jesus has made you into, the more you have to share with other. The more you share with others, the more Jesus blesses you; that is the way Christianity works.

Another aspect of the Biblical way of loving yourself is, if you love your neighbor as yourself and you hate yourself, no one wants you to give them your kind of love. But, if you yield to God’s love, you will grow to recognize, understand, appreciate, and love the wonderful things God has turned you into. THAT will provide you with a love that will be a blessing to those around you. THEN you will be able to love your neighbor as yourself and others will like the way you treat them. And that will bring healing to you from the struggles you have with fear. But, you will always have a “normal” issue with fear; you will be tempted by the devil JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. But, for you to be healed and cease to ever have the intensity of a problem with fear like you have had in the past, you MUST learn how to yield to God’s love.

How Is God’s Love Different?
Trying To Do Acts Of Love
When you TRY to do acts of love, you fail in your efforts; but, when you learn how to yield to God’s love, you go far beyond human abilities. You are empowered to REALLY love people. The problems that bother you the most typically come out of the difference between God’s love and human love. These three Scriptures will show you the inadequacies of human love.

1 Cor 13:1 (NIV) If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If you were so far along in your human education that you could speak numerous languages, if you were so advanced in your spiritual growth that you could speak with the languages of angels, you could still actually lack God’s love.

1 Cor 13:2 (NIV) If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. It doesn’t seem possible to have the powerful gift of the Holy Spirit of prophecy and not be a great Christian. If the Holy Spirit empowered you to understand all mysteries and all knowledge wouldn’t that mean you were a super Christian? If you have a faith that can move mountains, doesn’t that mean Jesus is speaking incredible faith into you? But, even if you are able to so connect to Jesus’ faith, if you don’t ALSO yield to God’ love, you are nothing.

1 Cor 13:3 (NIV) If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. This is really amazing; it doesn’t seem possible to give everything away and not have an incredible love for suffering people. But, love has to do with WHY you do WHAT you do. Your heart can fool you into thinking you are doing something for one reason when in fact you are doing it for another.

God’s love empowers you to be at the right place, at the right time, doing and saying the right things, to the right people. Pride, self-gratification, self-serving, self-promotion, or boasting can keep all your gifts from being out of love. But, what about being willing to face persecution to the point where you are willing to be burned at the stake? There is a way for you to make the ultimate sacrifice of dying a painful death and still not do it out of true love. Human love will never get the job done; only God’s love is going to help you be helped and help others.

What Can God’s Love Do For You?

God’s Love-Power Is In You
Rom 5:5 (NIV) And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out HIS LOVE into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, Whom He has given us. If you don’t realize that God’s love, described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a, is in you, you will either be trying to use your love or you will be trying to GET God to give you His love. This time of confusion about you experiencing God’s love limits the healing process in and through you.

When you pray for something the Bible says you already have, you will find yourself feeling like He didn’t answer your prayer. As you keep damaging yourself and other people and wondering why God won’t help you, you may not realize you are PRAYING and ASKING for the wrong thing; you ALREADY have God’s love. That is why one of The Six Biblical Principles is STUDY. Your PRAYERS must be based on you STUDYING the Bible so you can know God’s love is ALREADY inside you.

God’s Love-Power Can Change Your Behavior
1 Cor 13:4-8a (NIV) Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

As you can see, this isn’t just a top quality human love. This love is pure and never failing. But, this love is inside you; it was poured into your heart when you were born again. When you became a child of God, a member of His family, and a citizen of His eternal Kingdom, you got this love from your heavenly Father. All you have to do is learn how to yield to it. Yielding to God’s love is going to be a powerful part of bringing healing to your struggles with fear.

How Do You Yield To God’s Love-Power?

1. Yield Your Life To Jesus
1 John 2:5-6 (NIV) But if anyone OBEYS His (God’s) word, GOD’S LOVE is truly made complete IN HIM. This is how we know we are in Him: Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did. Jesus walked the walk of God’s love; now you are being led into submitting your life to Jesus Who knows how to walk the walk of God’s love. So, yielding to God’s love is simply a matter of submitting your life to Jesus. That empowers you to have God’s love that is inside you to flow out of you through the power of Jesus.

If you try to live the list in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a, it will fatigue you, frustrate you, and bring great failure into your life. But, yielding your life to Jesus will supply you with everything you need to treat yourself and the people around you with God’s love. This lays the foundation for God’s power-love to build those things you need for continued victory over your issues with fear.

2. Let Jesus Live God’s Love-Power Through You
If you weren’t constantly applying your tool sets to being empowered by Jesus to yield to God’s love, here is what YOU would be responsible for: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

It is no wonder why some Christians read the Bible and get discouraged. As they read passages like this and TRY to study the list, memorize it, apply it to their relationships, and end of failing, they tend to give up on living the Bible. They start hoping that “someday” they will get better at it. But, in the meantime, they live very discouraging lives.

3. Use The Three Keys To All Of Christianity
Mat 7:7-8 (NIV) “ASK and it will be given to you; SEEK and you will find; KNOCK and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who ASKS receives; he who SEEKS finds; and to him who KNOCKS, the door will be opened.

When you read the Bible as the TRUTH of God, you read it with an entirely different attitude. You read: “ASK and it will be given to you; ” and see it as Jesus giving you instructions for how to yield to GOD’S LOVE. You see it as THE WAY for you to start yielding to Jesus teaching you how to go around treating yourself and other people the right way.

John 14:14 (NIV) You may ASK Me for anything in My name, and I will do it. You may have ASKED many times for Jesus to set you free from your struggles with fear; but, NOW you are learning how to let Jesus flow in and through you. You are NOW heading in the right direction.

4. Use ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK At The Moment
Realizing that you are to yield to God’s love moment-by-moment and issue-by-issue, The Three Keys To All Christianity are to be applied as you go about your day.
  • ASK is what you do at the moment where you are dealing with an issue.

  • SEEK is what you do at the moment where you are dealing with an issue; but, it empowers you to ASK with real concern and intensity. SEEK helps you not just ASK in a careless attitude; it keeps you from turning this into a ritual where you are no longer REALLY inviting Jesus into the issue.

  • KNOCK is for you to be asking in such a way that you are wanting your decisions and actions to be opportunities for you to DEMONSTRATE the love of God.
You will learn how to ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK at a high rate of speed in your thoughts. It will take practice and patience for you to get good at it, consistent with it, and passionate about it.

5. Use The Six Biblical Principles Prior To The Issue
Your heart has to ALREADY be in the right place before you apply The Three Keys To All Of Christianity and before you reach the moment where you are facing an issue:
  • If you don’t already DESIRE to do the right thing, then it is too late for you to ASK God to help you make the right decision at that moment. Getting your DESIRE changed is a process; at that moment in the day where you are facing an issue, there’s no time to do a complete work on your DESIRE to do the loving thing.

  • If you haven’t already STUDIED and been empowered by Jesus’ truths on how to handle that issue, then He will help you with your attitudes; but, you will probably make a mistake as to the method you use to handle that issue. Jesus will only use the truths, principles, and Scriptures you have learned. You have to already know that a Scripture exists, what it means, how to apply it to your life, and have “done what it takes” to get it functioning in your life. That is why you and Jesus are spending so much time in these studies. He is transforming your life with them.

  • PRAYING is much like ASKING, it is a process of talking to God. However, your PRAYERS, prior to the moment you are dealing with an issue, should be addressing you, your attitudes, your character, and your relationship with Jesus. PRAYER can involve ASKING; but, it can involve repenting, praising, worshiping, thanking God, and mouring.

  • BELIEVING requires that you wait on Jesus to speak faith into you. There can be a lot of things that Jesus has to deal with you on BEFORE He is willing to give you the faith to BELIEVE for something. That means you need to get His faith prior to the moment you face an issue; or, you need to wait on making any decisions or taking any actions until you get that faith to BELIEVE. .

  • Learning how to yield to God’s LOVE is also something that needs to be progressing prior to your day’s activities. But, all during your day you will typically get opportunities to see how you are doing with God’s LOVE. You will see where you need more ASKING, SEEKING, and KNOCKING so as to get better at submitting your life to Jesus so He can live God’s love through you.

  • Finally, you will have to have already submitted your life to Jesus so you and He can take FAITH-ACTION all during your day. As you ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK all during your day, you will get opportunities to start taking FAITH-ACTION and living on the basis of the fact that God’s love is in you and being yielded to. As this happens more and more during your days, you will see the power and results that come through you using The Three Keys To All Of Christianity and The Six Biblical Principles. THEY are directing your attention, you faith, you dependency, your trust, and your reliance toward Jesus. He is setting you free from human effort, secular humanism, and world training.

6. Appy The Three Keys To The Six Principles
If you are facing a moment where you have an issue that you are struggling with, then in your mind ASK Jesus to help you do the LOVING thing. If you have ALREADY worked with God over making sure The Six Biblical Principles are functioning in you life, so that you DESIRE to do the loving thing, you have been STUDYING how to do the loving thing, you have been PRAYING to do the loving thing, you have been looking to Jesus to speak faith into you so you can BELIEVE you have the power to do the loving thing, you BELIEVE you have GOD’S LOVE inside you to do the loving thing, and you have submitted your life to Jesus so HE can do the loving thing through you, then you and that person you were getting ready to talk to or take action on will experience GOD’S LOVE.
