God has been working with you and preparing you for a certain work in His Kingdom. All of your life He has been exposing you to things that have prepared you for those things He want you to do. He has given you a body, talents, skills, abilities, and passions for things He want you to be able to do. Now that you have His power resident in your life, He is wanting to take all that past preparation and melt it into a special, personal shape for you. He is wanting to train and transform you into a person with special gifts that He can use to help hurting people in a unique way. Your special interests and the ease of learning and doing certain things are helping you become this special person.

Other people in the church, where you attend, are also becoming just like you. God is training and empowering them to do the same spiritual things you are interested in. There are also other people who are being trained and becoming specialists in other areas that will support what God is doing in you.

You won’t want to do these things; but they will have to be done, if the church is going to function properly. You will need these other people to help you with your growth and with the people’s growth you are helping. You and the people in you church will be able to work together as each of you excel in similar and different areas of spiritual work. Just like there are different departments in companies and hospitals, there are different specialists in your church.

Ask Jesus to help you understand where He wants you to develop and train. Ask Him to show you how your interests, passions, skills, talents, and training can be used to fit you into His church. Pray that He will help you learn how to give up certain world ways of doing these things and grow in His way of doing them. Let Him remove what He wants out of your skills and leave those things He agrees with.
