In the process of you going out and associating with humans, you will come across various sick people. You will discover them infected with those spiritual diseases found in Galatians 5:19-21. Gal 5:19-21 (NIV) The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery (indulgence in sensual pleasures); idolatry (worshipping anything other than God) and witchcraft (using Satan’s power for personal goals); hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

A lot of Christian’s attitudes, when they run across these spiritual diseases, are usually distorted. Some Christians will be tempted to go back into those sins and join these people. Other Christians will be shocked and appalled by such wickedness. There will be Christians who will ignore them and act like they don’t exhist. And, there will be a few who will see it as an opportunity to help them with their problems.

Physical sickness, disease, and injury are very similar to spiritual sickness, disease, and injury. As a matter of fact, God designed the physical realm to give us a picture of how the spiritual realm works. If we take a look at the way us humans have gone about trying to deal with physical disease we will be able to see a little bit about how we should deal with spiritual disease.

If your doctor is in favor of all people being infected with the disease you came to be cured of, then it isn’t likely they are going to be able to help you. If your doctor is shocked and appalled by the social stigma of your disease, then their bias and prejudice is going to get in the way of them helping you. If your doctor stays away from the office because they just can’t stand seeing so much sickness, disease, and injury, then they aren’t going to be much help.

Living the victorious Christian life means that you have learned the truths of God and are being set free by them. So many Christians don’t want to study, read, pray, worship, and do those things they need to do to learn the truths of God. The reason so many people are sick, injured, defeated, depressed, helpless, and hopeless is because they don’t know the truths of God.

There are multitudes of people who know all kinds of things about how to live and work in this temporal world; but, they don’t have a clue as to how to win at it or succeed in it. They have settled for concepts that are weak, inadequate, short-sighted, and in some cases false. Many people are spending all their time, effort, intellect, and money on being well equipped with information, skills, experiences, and possessions that have been letting them down all the days of their lives; but, won’t give God any time to prove His points.
