God has caused the words He wants you to live by to be written down for you to read and study. He USED humans to write them down; but His Holy Spirit CAUSED those humans to write down what He wanted said. Just like some pens you write with have different colors and thickness of ink, these humans had different vocabularies and ways of saying things. That part of their personalities showed through in these writings. But, it was God Who was CAUSING these words to be written. God handpicked the humans He wanted to write the words you find in your Bible. These were people who would yield to the will of God. God spoke to them by the Holy Spirit talking to their spirits.

He didn’t have to talk to them with words; He was able to bring the concepts into their minds so they could put these concepts into sentences from their own vocabulary and personality. That is typically how He talks to us.

Pray that Jesus would help your respect the Bible and give it the highest place in your priorities. Ask Him to help you accept the Bible as the FINAL authority in your life. Tell Him you want to only allow the Bible to affect the decisions you make. Ask Him to use His Holy Spirit to teach you what His word says and what His word means. Tell Him you want to learn and be empowered to obey everything He said.
