Life has a lot of pitfalls and traps waiting for us. Some Christians just wait until they fall into them and then call on God to help them. Others are too afraid to move forward in life because they worry about falling into these traps. Some try to be careful and use their own skills, talents, experiences, and knowledge to avoid these pitfalls and traps. Still others try to follow other Christians and use them to guide them through these difficult areas. God wants us to be open to His voice so we can allow Him to guide us in the direction He wants us to go. The Holy Spirit knows what God’s plan is for your life. He knows Satan’s plan for your life. God is able to tell you everything He wants you to do and everything Satan has waiting for you. You will be able to navigate into God’s plan and resist Satan’s traps and pitfalls.

Ideas will come into your mind and certain positive or negative feelings will come in your heart, as you make the decisions for your life and servant-ministry. God will help you come up with the ideas He wants you to involve yourself in and empower you to feel good about them. He will speak to you through His Word, the Bible, and show you which Scriptures He wants you to apply to each step of your daily activities.

He will also bring up Scriptures, ideas, and feelings that will help you decide against certain decisions you thought about putting in motion. Not because they were wrong or sinful; but because they wouldn’t be good for the success He has planned for you. In other words, you and He are moving away from just guiding you in things that are morally right and away from those things that are sins. He is now helping you to move into the blessings of His Kingdom. He is revealing His special path for you. There wouldn’t be anything morally wrong with various decisions you could make; they just wouldn’t take you into His very best for you.

Ask Jesus to not only show you the morally right and sinfully wrong issues, but to start showing you the difference between things that are good and things that are much better. Ask Him to guide you into the blessings of God. Let Him take you into His greatest plan for your life and servant-ministry. Ask Him to help you want His best and greatest plan for your future. Pray that He will make these paths clear so you will be able to feel the excitement for His best and feel a check in your spirit against those things that are only okay.
