These Problems Must Be Handled Differently
Most of us have had a mild habit, struggle, addiction, or personal characteristic that we were able to use some sort of determination or willpower against and made it go away. We have all been depressed at some point in our lives and, as circumstances changed and time went by, the depression just dissolved and disappeared.
But, when something comes into your life or you find yourself having some kind of problem that just won’t go away, it causes a lot of stress, guilt, confusion, and relationship problems.
Anger presents a good example of a problem that most people struggle with from time to time. Even some of the most calm people we know can get mad, if pushed hard enough.
However, some people have a temper that is dominate in their life. They can be angry and not even know why. Some people don’t seem to get addicted to anything while others become completely controlled by something.
We All Have At Least One
We all have SOMETHING that is a weakness in our life; no one is exempt. We all have to deal with some kind of chronic problem in our character. However, there are chronic life’s problems that are more obvious than others.
If you have a chronic problem that everyone can see, then the social pressure has been intense. On the other hand, some have had problems for years and no one ever suspected. But, these types of problems have a tendency to keep getting worse until the person finally slips up and is found out.
There are no “good” chronic problems; they all cause great suffering in their victims. And they aren’t something we can handle on our own.
Willpower, determination, making up your mind, deciding you are going to do better, or making solemn, sincere promises to family, friends, or professionals won’t make it happen. If you are a person who sincerely wants to get free from this issue, then you are probably pretty disappointed in yourself.
