This Is Going To Rock Your World

Phil 4:13 (NIV) I can do everything through Him Who gives me strength.

Jesus isn't doing all this for entertainment. He is doing this for victory. People's eternal destiny is at stake. Satan is doing everything he can to blind the eyes of the unbelievers.

2 Cor 4:4 (NIV) The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, Who is the image of God.

This Is War!

We aren't going to be able to use human techniques and win this battle. This is supernatural, spiritual war.

2 Cor 10:4 (NIV) The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have DIVINE power to demolish strongholds.

In many areas of the world, we are losing the battle. Even though Christians are working day and night trying to bring the lost in, we are still losing the battle. Why? Because we have left the Bible, its principles, techniques, and procedures; and are using advertising, marketing, entertainment, and human effort. Unless God is yielded to, His Word is followed, and His presence is released; the lost are going to suffer the consequences.

This Is War Against Satan For The Lives Of Hurting People

Eph 6:12 (NIV) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, BUT against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Does that sound like we are going to be able to deal with it using non-spiritual efforts, procedures, and systems? It sounds bigger than anything we will ever have to offer. This Scripture alone will help us want to get our armor on, keep it on, and learn to use it skillfully. A lot of these poor, lost people are being touched and ministered to by weak Christians who don't know how to fight with spiritual weapons. The Christians themselves are struggling to keep their own noses above water. Yet they are out there trying to rescue someone else and bring them to shore.

We Are Not The Answer, Jesus Is

Eph 6:10 (NIV) Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

The lost need people like this. We must be people like this. They are doomed if we aren't people like this. Satan isn't going to just lay down and let us rob his house.

1 Pet 5:8-10 (NIV) Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, Who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

This Scripture isn't talking about self controlling self. This is us bring our "self" under the control of the Holy Spirit so we can be used by the life and ministry of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We aren't resisting the devil and standing firm in the faith with our own strength, we are allowing God to fill us with His power. We are allowing Him to equip us with His armor. This is the only way we are going to bring salvation and new life to the masses of people in this world.

The lost need us. But, we have to be ready for a battle.
