Your Problem Is My Problem
John 17:21-23 (NIV) That all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may be one as We are one: I in them and You in Me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me.

This is the most powerful part of a true church setting. It is a group that is one with God and in unity with each other. This is the place where complete transparency can happen. No matter what problem a Christian is facing, it will be able to be presented to the group. It will be dealt with as if everyone in the group has the problem themselves. Their love for one another is so intense that everyone in the group hurts with the same intensity of pain. Everyone in the group wants this person to succeed with God. All of their hearts are tied into the life of every individual in the group. There is no "me;" it is all "we." We are reaching out for God and resisting Satan until we get the victory for the suffering person.

Gal 6:2 (NIV) Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

The law of Christ is love. As a group of Christians, we have to CARE; we have to SHARE; and, we have to BARE. We often feel we are not qualified to carry (bare) someone else's burdens. And in many cases that can be true. But, as we get helped, we need to start helping. That is where we start sharing our story with those who HAVE what we HAD.
In every area where we get a breakthrough, we need to start sharing with others how we got the victory. There was a woman in the Bible who had been living a very immoral life. We went to the well outside of town to get water and Jesus struck up a conversation with her. After she met Jesus and spent some time with Him, she began to realize that He sounded like the Messiah that had been promised to the world. Here's how she gave to those around her.

John 4:28-30 (NIV) Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, "Come, see a Man Who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?" They came out of the town and made their way toward Him.

This is a portion taken from the story of the Samaritan woman at the well. This woman really didn't have much spiritual information about God or the things of God. All she did was go tell her friends what she knew and had experienced. It wasn't much. But, it was enough. A lot of the people in her town came out to see Jesus. As Jesus talked to them, many of them believed in Him. You may not have a lot to offer a group of Christians but, if you will CARE enough for them and their problems, are willing to BARE their problems as if they were your own; and SHARE with them the problems and shortcomings you have, you can start or be part of a group that can help each other get rid of those bad things that are already in your lives.
