God Is Talking To You

Rom 8:16 (NIV) The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

You KNOW You Are God's Child

How does this Scriptural truth manifest itself in our life? We find this assurance added and established in our belief system which is stored in the subconscious part of our brain and accessed by our heart. From this new God-given knowledge and emotion, we know we are one of God's children. How? The Holy Spirit has made it clear to our heart. It is a knowing. This knowing lets us become aware of the fact that we now belong to God. Our life and ministry are really His life and ministry. The next series of communications that started coming to us was dealing with what was right and what was wrong.

God Changes Our Desires To WANT The Right Things

Rom 7:16 (NIV) And if I do what I do not WANT to do, I agree that the law is good.

Rom 7:22 (NIV) For in my inner being I delight (intense WANT) in God's law.

You KNOW What God WANTS

The mind of Christ started talking to our mind and bringing our mind into agreement with God's law. How has that been manifesting itself in our life? Once again, it is a knowing. In our inner being we know when God does or doesn't like what we do. Whether we follow that knowing or not is dependent on whether or not we have learned and are using General, Sanctification, and Preventative Spiritual Growth systems. When we read the Bible, our inner being agrees with what it says. That is the mind of Christ talking to the mind of our inner being. The fact is, our inner being is receiving a lot of information from the mind of Christ.

From the first day we received the assurance that we had become a child of God, we, in our inner being, started knowing and wanting the kind of life Jesus wanted us to live. From that day on we received a continuous flow of what Jesus wanted as it related to each thought, word, and activity of our life. Through our inner being, we have had a constant and clear communication from His mind to our mind and to the desires of our heart. Because we have brought our body into the control of the Holy Spirit through General, Sanctification, and Preventative Spiritual Growth systems, that communication has built in us a dynamic way of life and ministry. Now, the time we spend thinking or not thinking about certain things is being influenced by the mind of Christ. The time we spend saying or not saying things is coming under God's control. The time we spend doing or not doing certain things is based on whether or not we are using our new training in Spiritual Growth and Warfare. We KNOW and we WANT in our "inner being" what He does or doesn't want our time, resources, and efforts spent on.

The Three Parts To Spiritual Growth

There are three aspects to living the life of Christ, knowing, wanting, and doing. KNOWING to do the right thing and WANTING to do the right thing are two different things. We have always known what Jesus wanted. The Holy Spirit, through our conscience, made that known to every person in all the world. Once we were saved, however, we started WANTING to do what Jesus wanted. But, it wasn't until we went through the necessary aspects of Spiritual Growth (sanctification) that we started DOING what we KNEW He WANTED. That became the moment we started bringing our life more under God's control. Sin (hurting ourselves and others) and righteousness (doing good to ourselves and others) became major issues in this knowing, wanting, and doing. The Holy Spirit's conviction caused us to KNOW the difference between sin and righteousness. Salvation caused us to WANT to stop sinning and WANT to start doing righteousness. Then Spiritual Growth and Warfare worked transformation into our life causing us to start DOING righteousness and stop DOING certain sins. All of these experiences have taught us the voice of God.
