It is extremely difficult for you to be struggling with spirituality issues and continue being defeated while heading toward deliverance. It will be confusing for you to be exposed to a wonderful way of life and still be living in the old one. But, it is actually a condition where you have one foot in the new life and the other in the old one. It is like taking a long journey; when you first start out, you are making progress but it doesn’t seem like it. You are heading in the right direction but have a long way to go. We all would like to just find out about a new life and be there the next day; however, this isn’t the way these things work. It is going to take you some time, effort, and patience in order to get set free from your struggles with spirituality. BUT, don’t let that scare you or worry you; Jesus will be right there with you all the way. It will be a time for you to develop a wonderful relationship with Jesus.

Mat 11:28 (NIV) Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. That is what you are doing; you are making your way to Jesus so He can give you the things you need. But, you must have a special attitude so you will make the journey to Jesus; and, then you will go with Jesus to the place of blessings, healing, and help. Gal 6:9 (NIV) Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. The problem is, human determination, commitment, resolve, and tenacity don’t work in Christianity. Once you give this your best, make up your mind, put forth an all out effort, and try to do what it takes, you will fail; and, that really hurts you. But, if you start looking to Jesus to give you His help and power, you will be able to stay the course. Because Christianity has a living God Who wants to show you what He can do for you, He requires that you put your faith, trust, and reliance on Him and His abilities.

Mat 11:28 (NIV) Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. The confusing issue about working with Jesus is for you to know what your responsibility is and what His is. Come to Me: Your responsibility is to come to Jesus. I will give you rest: His responsibility is to work the miracles in your life. Here is another example of the way Christianity works: Rev 3:20 (NIV) Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me. In this case your job is: If anyone hears My voice and opens the door. His job is: I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me. Here it is again: How much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him! Your job is to ask; His job is to give good gifts to those who ASK Him!

Rom 12:1 (NIV) Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. When you face things you can’t control, that is your battle you are fighting against the drives, emotions, reactions and weaknesses of your body. Your spirit on the inside of your body, doesn’t get mad, jealous, frustrated, selfish, or act or react inappropriately; it doesn’t get depressed, sad, down, feel lonely, issolated, or hopeless; your body is the source of these things. Jesus has a way of empowering you to bring your body under your and His control.

Once you open some doors in your life, they can never be closed again without the supernatural power of God. Once you start experiencing some emotions, they will dominate your life without the supernatural power of God. In all the other programs where Jesus is left out of the process, you would just be learning how to live with your body’s cravings, philosophies, emotions, and weaknesses. You would be spending a lot of hard effort and time learning how to adjust your life so you could live with a drive, emotion, reaction, or weakness that would be with you for the rest of your life. But with Jesus, you will be learning how to defeat the drives, emotions, reactions and weaknesses and make them stop. That alone will make it worth the journey. And, once again, that isn’t all you will be receiving from God.

Through all these studies and prayers, Jesus is progressively moving you into a new way of living life. You are currently taking steps that will bring incredible joy, happiness, pleasure, fun, and satisfaction. As you learn how to yield to them rather than negative thoughts and emotions, Jesus will use them to help you face your issues with spirituality.

The important thing for you to know about Jesus and His help is, these new emotions will never be something that addicts, controls, or dominates you or tries to take your God-given free will away from you. Jesus will always honor your God-given free will. It will be a way of life you choose to be involved in because you want that kind of life. It won’t be like bait on a fish hook that offers benefits and pleasure but gets you hooked and then reels you in to a way of destruction. Your emotions will be blessed and enhanced so you can fight your battles with spirituality while having emotions that help you FEEL like a winner.

Luke 6:38 (NIV) Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” One of the things that will give you a much better life is the opportunity to share what you have with others. Not only will you finally reach the place where you are set free from spirituality issues, you will be learning concepts that you can use to help your friends be set free. You will discover a wonderful purpose for your life. You will be able to help hurting people find deliverance and blessings for their lives.

The excitement and confidence you will demonstrate will help those around you want what you have. You won’t be experiencing some strange, mystical healing that you won’t understand. You won’t receive help through “experts” who have training and techniques that are way over your head. Jesus will be teaching you life-principles that you will understand and take advantage of for yourself; and, He will help you be able to use them to help hurting people as you and Jesus work together.

Like in the Luke 6:38 principle of giving, you must try to get your help using Biblical, spiritual principles. You are currently learning how to get help from Jesus. You are learning that Jesus has to be approached in a certain way or nothing happens. Like the fact that Jesus requires you to give, and it will be given to you. And like Jesus uses the Biblical principle: For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. there are rules that regulate what Jesus will or will not do. In this next phase of the study, Jesus will show you how to “do what it takes” to get the help you need so you can live the kind of life you want. All you have to do is come to God, while using the correct methods, and Jesus will get you on the right track; and, that is what you and Jesus will work on next.
