“Finding The Right Method”

Having The Right Attitudes
God’s Eight Power-Attitudes
You learned that if you don’t ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK, Jesus won’t help you. You also learned that if you don’t DESIRE, STUDY, PRAY, BELIEVE, LOVE, and take FAITH-ACTION, Jesus won’t help you. That can seem like too many obstacles for you to have to face. But, there are eight power-attitudes of God that can help you be open to Jesus’ training and healing in your life. They are typically called The Beatitudes; they are found in Matthew 5:3-12. They introduce you into eight blessings of God.

Jesus was starting to preach a special sermon that is recorded in Matthew chapters 5 through 7. He started this sermon off explaining that none of those things He was about to tell them were going to bring any blessings or benefit to them unless they had eight power-attitudes from God. Once you DISCOVER that “The Eight Power-Attitudes Of God” will empower “The Three Keys To All Of Christianity,” you will start ASKING for everything you need from God. When you run into a problem of ASKING for something and not getting it, “The Six Biblical Principles” will help you find out why it didn’t happen.

Why should you learn how to drive? Why would you learn how to read? Why do you need all those tools in the kitchen? You need all kinds of tools, equipment, and skills to succeed in life. That is the way it is with Jesus; you need to allow Him to be your educator, teacher, coach, and leader. Just like you didn’t get where you are now without some pretty complex training, neither can you do it in Christianity. So, allow Jesus to quickly take you through these eight power-attitudes so you can make sure your attitudes are in good shape.

Why Do You Need Good Attitudes?
What if you went around mistreating everyone at work, at school, your friends, your spouse, your family, your relatives, and strangers? If you constantly had bad attitudes, you would offend and alienate everyone you came in contact with. If you had bad attitudes toward work, where you were lazy, wouldn’t apply yourself, and refused to show up for work, you would have difficulty being employed. If you had bad attitudes toward getting an education, you would be ignorant, untrained, and incompetent. Your attitudes set the standard for how your life is going to go. Bad attitudes in relational issues, financial issues, physical issues, and spiritual issues all will put you into a way of life that produces failure. The power-attitudes of God set you up for extreme success and victory in life.

TOOL SET THREE: God’s Eight Power-Attitudes
Getting Miracles, Healing, And Blessings From God
You already know about the first and second tool sets; now let Jesus teach you about the third and final tool set.

Mat 5:3 (NIV) BLESSED are the POOR IN SPIRIT, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:4 (NIV) BLESSED are those who MOURN, for they will be comforted.

Mat 5:5 (NIV) BLESSED are the MEEK, for they will inherit the earth.

Mat 5:6 (NIV) BLESSED are those who HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS, for they will be filled.

Mat 5:7 (NIV) BLESSED are the MERCIFUL, for they will be shown mercy.

Mat 5:8 (NIV) BLESSED are the PURE IN HEART, for they will see God.

Mat 5:9 (NIV) BLESSED are the PEACEMAKERS, for they will be called sons of God.

Mat 5:10-12 (NIV) BLESSED are those who are PERSECUTED because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Getting Eight Blessings From God
If you have God’s eight power-attitudes, you will get eight blessings from God; and, they will open the door to all the other things you need from Him. Poor in spirit, mourning, meekness, and hungering and thirsting for righteousness are the first four power-attitudes God puts inside you. These four attitudes empower and build your relationship with God.

Merciful, pure in heart, peacemaker, and willing to be persecuted are the last four power-attitudes from God. These attitudes are God's power-attitudes that empower you and help build your relationship with other people. Jesus will be taking you through each of these last four in greater detail later; He will help you understand what they are and how to take advantage of them. But for now, you just need to apply the ASK key and ask Jesus to help you receive God’s power-attitudes.

The First Four Power-Attitudes Of God
Being POOR IN SPIRIT will help you be teachable and receptive to the truths Jesus is wanting to teach you. MOURNING will empower you to repent and reject those things Jesus shows you that you are involved in that are wrong, bad, or evil. Being MEEK will empower you to accept Jesus’ truths in the Bible as your final authority. It will help you judge, evaluate, and make decisions based on whether or not something measures up with God’s Word. HUNGERING AND THIRSTING FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS empowers you to want to learn, understand, and apply Jesus’ truths from the Bible to your life. These are the first four that you will need to allow the three keys to help you receive into your attitudes for now.

Tools That Invite Jesus Into Your Life

ASKING
ASKING CAN invite Jesus to get involved in each thing the Bible tells you to do, live, get, or yield to. It CAN also empower you to be set free from all those things the Bible tells you to avoid, get rid of, or resist. What would CAUSE you to ASK for the things in the Bible?
  • Being POOR IN SPIRIT will help you be teachable and receptive to the truths Jesus is wanting to teach you. This helps you ASK for the things of God.

  • MOURNING will empower you to repent and reject those things Jesus shows you that you are involved in that are wrong, bad, or evil. This helps you ASK for being delivered from wrong, bad, and evil things.

  • Being MEEK will empower you to accept Jesus’ truths in the Bible as your final authority. This helps you ASK for those things that God says are the right things.

  • HUNGERING AND THIRSTING FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS empowers you to want to learn, understand, and apply Jesus’ truths from the Bible to your life. This helps you ASK for those things that bring righteousness into your life. Righteousness empowers you to only do good things to yourself, other people, and God’s plan.

SEEKING
SEEKING CAN help you really mean it when you ASK; it gives you passion, intensity, and diligence. What should you use the intensity and passion of SEEKING on?
  • Being POOR IN SPIRIT will help you be teachable and receptive to the truths Jesus is wanting to teach you. Combining SEEKING with it intensifies your teachable attitude.

  • MOURNING will empower you to repent and reject those things Jesus shows you that you are involved in that are wrong, bad, or evil. SEEKING brings great hatred, resistance, and repentance toward wrong, bad, and evil things.

  • Being MEEK will empower you to accept Jesus’ truths in the Bible as your final authority. SEEKING helps you totally reject all other authorities.

  • HUNGERING AND THIRSTING FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS empowers you to want to learn, understand, and apply Jesus’ truths from the Bible to your life. SEEKING gives you an intense hunger and thirst for righteousness.

KNOCKING
KNOCKING will keep you from just ASKING and SEEKING for selfish, self-centered reasons. It will help you ASK and SEEK for things so you can KNOCK on the doors of opportunity to share your miracles, healings, and breakthroughs with others; that helps you yield to God’s love that the Holy Spirit has already poured into your heart. What would CAUSE you to want to help other people?
  • Being POOR IN SPIRIT will help you be teachable and receptive to the truths Jesus is wanting to teach you. KNOCKING will take those things you get through being POOR IN SPIRIT and share them with others.

  • MOURNING will empower you to repent and reject those things Jesus shows you that you are involved in that are wrong, bad, or evil. KNOCKING will empower you to help others be set free from those things that are hurting them.

  • Being MEEK will empower you to accept Jesus’ truths in the Bible as your final authority. KNOCKING will help you lead others into accepting God and the Bible as their final authority.

  • HUNGERING AND THIRSTING FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS empowers you to want to learn, understand, and apply Jesus’ truths from the Bible to your life. KNOCKING will inspire you to lead others into a deep desire for God’s righteousness.
