This program has three studies that show a person how to maintain their relationship with God through the Lord’s prayer. The first study is called: “The Lord’s Prayer For New Christians;” the second one is called: “The Lord’s Prayer For Sinning Christians;” and the third one is called: “The Lord’s Prayer For Mature Christians.”

NOTE: The Power-Life Program also uses the Lord’s prayer; it uses “The Lord’s Prayer For Salvation” for helping people become a Christian. “The Lord’s Prayer For Salvation” can also be found in the Resource Program. It is presented there so you can have access to it when you have a friend who needs to be helped to receive salvation.

Jesus told us in Matthew 6:9 (NIV): “This, then, is how you should pray” and then tells us how and what to pray. If the new Christian learns how to take advantage of this prayer for help and spiritual power, then they can expect great and mighty things to happen to them and their Christian experience. The Lord’s prayer is a very powerful prayer for the new Christian to pray.

We are sure you have heard the saying: “Nobody’s perfect.” Well, that is true of us all; we all fail, fall short, make mistakes, commit misdeeds of our body, and sin. The Lord’s prayer deals with important aspects of those times when we have sinned as a Christian. This is a great study for dealing with those times when you are somewhat disappointed in yourself.

It is expected that we all want to keep growing and maturing as a Christian. This study deals with using the Lord’s prayer as a vital tool to never stop growing spiritually. Whether you are a new Christian who wants to keep growing, a sinning Christian who wants to be delivered from some sin issue, or a mature Christian who wants to grow into being the very best there is in Jesus, this study and this prayer is for you.

The “Understanding Jesus’ Help” study dealt with your relationship with Jesus. This study helps you learn how to talk to your heavenly Father and Him talk to you. All of the things you learned about God and the way He thinks and feels will help you move into this study. Talking with your heavenly Father has to use those things you will learn from the previous studies so you will be able to pray and get the results you need. If you know Him and understand Him, you will talk with Him and listen to Him with great skill and effectiveness.

Prayer is the way for you to not only talk TO your heavenly Father, it is a way to listen for His answers and comments. Even though God doesn’t typically use words and sentences, He does use thoughts and feelings. If you could move into the thoughts and feeling of another person, you wouldn’t need words. You would know what they were thinking and feeling by seeing what they see and feeling what they feel. This ability to get whole concepts and experiences directly from God is a very powerful way of getting to know your heavenly Father.
