Jesus, you taught me that if I don’t ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK, You won’t help me. You also taught me that if I don’t DESIRE, STUDY, PRAY, BELIEVE, LOVE, and take FAITH-ACTION, You won’t help me. Sometimes that seems like too many obstacles for me to have to face. But, help me see that there are eight power-attitudes of God that can help me be open to Your training and healing in my life. They are typically called The Beatitudes; and are found in Matthew 5:3-12. Let them introduce me into eight blessings of God.

Jesus, as You were starting to preach a special sermon recorded in Matthew chapters 5 through 7, You started the sermon off explaining that none of those things You were about to tell them were going to bring any blessings or benefit to them unless they had eight power-attitudes from God. Help me DISCOVER that “The Eight Power-Attitudes Of God” will empower “The Three Keys To All Of Christianity,” as I start ASKING for everything I need from God. Teach me that when I run into a problem of ASKING for something and not getting it, “The Six Biblical Principles” will help me find out why it didn’t happen.

Jesus, teach me that the same reasons why should I learn how to drive, why I should learn how to read, and why I need all those tools in the kitchen, are the same reasons I need all kinds of tools, equipment, and skills to succeed in life. Teach me that, that is the way it is with You; I need to allow You to be my educator, teacher, coach, and leader. Just like I didn’t get where I am now without some pretty complex training, neither can I do it in Christianity. Quickly take me through these eight power-attitudes so I can make sure my attitudes are in good shape.

Jesus, if I went around mistreating everyone at work, at school, my friends, my spouse, my family, my relatives, and strangers, if I constantly had bad attitudes, I would offend and alienate everyone I came in contact with. If I had bad attitudes toward work, where I was lazy, wouldn’t apply myself, and refused to show up for work, I would have difficulty being employed. If I had bad attitudes toward getting an education, I would be ignorant, untrained, and incompetent. Help me see that my attitudes set the standard for how my life is going to go. Show me that bad attitudes in relational issues, financial issues, physical issues, and spiritual issues all will put me into a way of life that produces failure. Teach me that the power-attitudes of God will set me up for extreme success and victory in life.

Jesus, You have already taught me about the first and second tool sets; now teach me about the third and final tool set.

Mat 5:3 (NIV) BLESSED are the POOR IN SPIRIT, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Jesus, make me POOR IN SPIRIT so I will be blessed and the Kingdom of heaven be mine.

Mat 5:4 (NIV) BLESSED are those who MOURN, for they will be comforted. Jesus, empower me to MOURN so I will be blessed and be comforted.

Mat 5:5 (NIV) BLESSED are the MEEK, for they will inherit the earth. Jesus, make me MEEK so I will be blessed and inherit the earth.

Mat 5:6 (NIV) BLESSED are those who HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS, for they will be filled. Jesus, help me HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS so I will be blessed and so I will be filled.

Mat 5:7 (NIV) BLESSED are the MERCIFUL, for they will be shown mercy. Jesus, help me be MERCIFUL so I will be blessed and so I will be shown mercy.

Mat 5:8 (NIV) BLESSED are the PURE IN HEART, for they will see God. Jesus, make me PURE IN HEART so I will be blessed and so I will see God.

Mat 5:9 (NIV) BLESSED are the PEACEMAKERS, for they will be called sons of God. Jesus, make me a PEACEMAKER so I will be blessed and so I will be called a son of God.

Mat 5:10-12 (NIV) BLESSED are those who are PERSECUTED because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Jesus, empower me to be willing to be PERSECUTED so I will be blessed, so the Kingdom of heaven will be mine, and so my reward will be great in heaven.

Jesus, make it clear to me that if I have God’s eight power-attitudes, I will get eight blessings from God; and, they will open the door to all the other things I need from Him. Teach me that poor in spirit, mourning, meekness, and hungering and thirsting for righteousness are the first four power-attitudes God puts inside me. Let these four attitudes empower and build my relationship with God.

Jesus, teach me that merciful, pure in heart, peacemaker, and willing to be persecuted are the last four power-attitudes from God. Teach me that these attitudes are God's power-attitudes that empower me and help me build my relationship with other people. Help me be ready for You to take me through each of these last four in greater detail later; help me understand what they are and how to take advantage of them at that time. But for now, I apply the ASK key and ask You to help me receive God’s power-attitudes.

Jesus, make me POOR IN SPIRIT so I can be helped to be teachable and receptive to the truths You are wanting to teach me. Let MOURNING empower me to repent and reject those things You show me that I am involved in that are wrong, bad, or evil. Make me MEEK so I can be empowered to accept Your truths in the Bible as my final authority. Let it help me judge, evaluate, and make decisions based on whether or not something measures up with God’s Word. Give me a HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS so I can be empowered to want to learn, understand, and apply Your truths from the Bible to my life. Let me use the three keys to help me receive these four power-attitudes into my attitudes for now.

Jesus, help me use ASKING to invite You to get involved in each thing the Bible tells me to do, live, get, or yield to. Let it empower me to be set free from all those things the Bible tells me to avoid, get rid of, or resist. Show me what would CAUSE me to ASK for the things in the Bible.

• Jesus, make me POOR IN SPIRIT so I can be teachable and receptive to the truths You are wanting to teach me. I now ASK You to empower me to yield to being POOR IN SPIRIT so I can get the truths of God.


• Jesus, open my heart to MOURNING so I will be empowered to repent and reject those things You show me that I am involved in that are wrong, bad, or evil. Empower me to always use the ASK key so I can be delivered from wrong, bad, and evil things.


• Jesus, make me MEEK so I will always be empowered to accept Your truths in the Bible as my final authority. Let this help me to always ASK for those things that God says are the right things.


• Jesus, give me an intense HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS so I can always be empowered to want to learn, understand, and apply Your truths from the Bible to my life. Help me to always ASK for those things that bring righteousness into my life. Let righteousness empower me to only do good things to myself, other people, and God’s plan.

Jesus, let SEEKING help me really mean it when I ASK; let it give me passion, intensity, and diligence. Now show me what I should use the intensity and passion of SEEKING on.

• Jesus, teach me that being POOR IN SPIRIT will help me be teachable and receptive to the truths You are wanting to teach me. Now, help me combine SEEKING to being POOR IN SPIRIT so it will intensify my teachable attitude.


• Jesus, teach me that MOURNING will empower me to repent and reject those things You show me that I am involved in that are wrong, bad, or evil. Let SEEKING bring great hatred, resistance, and repentance into my heart toward wrong, bad, and evil things.


• Jesus, teach me that MEEK will empower me to accept Your truths in the Bible as my final authority. Let SEEKING help me to totally reject all other authorities.


• Jesus, teach me that HUNGERING AND THIRSTING FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS empowers me to want to learn, understand, and apply Your truths from the Bible to my life. Let SEEKING give me an intense hunger and thirst for righteousness.

Jesus, use KNOCKING to keep me from just ASKING and SEEKING for selfish, self-centered reasons. Let it help me to ASK and SEEK for things so I can KNOCK on the doors of opportunity to share my miracles, healings, and breakthroughs with others; let that help me yield to God’s love that the Holy Spirit has already poured into my heart. And, show me what would CAUSE me to want to help other people.

• Jesus, make me completely POOR IN SPIRIT so I can be very teachable and very receptive to the truths You are wanting to teach me. Let KNOCKING take those things I get through being POOR IN SPIRIT and share them with others.


• Jesus, help me get involve in intense MOURNING so I can be empowered to repent and reject those things You show me I am involved in that are wrong, bad, or evil. Let KNOCKING empower me to help others get involved in intense MOURNING so they can be set free from those things that are hurting them.


• Jesus, make me totally MEEK so I can be empowered to accept Your truths in the Bible as my final authority. Let KNOCKING help me lead others into accepting God and the Bible as their complete and final authority.


• Jesus, give me a great HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS so I can be empowered to want to learn, understand, and apply Your truths from the Bible to my life. Let KNOCKING inspire me to lead others into a deep desire for God’s righteousness.
