Jesus if You want me to study this program, use these devotions to start me studying the plan and purpose of my heavenly Father. Help me understand and appreciate all my heavenly Father has been doing for me. Address the major struggles I go through in trying to understand why God does things the way He does them. Since it does NOT address my struggles with loss of a loved one, help me decide whether or not I should get involved at this time. Since it does contribute to my spiritual growth, help me see if there are benefits I need now or at a later time.

Jesus, after You have helped me better understand God through these devotions, then start helping me build my dream for a great life with God. Show me how my relationship with God works and how to take advantage of that relationship. Teach me how to keep a wonderful communication established with my heavenly Father. Then teach me how to take advantage of that communication to build various human relationships successfully.

Jesus, help me realize that Devotions With Jesus doesn’t offer me the Power-Life Program because it is only for those who are already Christians. It is an approach that helps those who are Christians to be sure to stay in a close relationship with their heavenly Father on a daily basis. Let me know whether or not this is important to me.

Jesus, if I simply need help with keeping my spiritual growth moving ahead, then use Devotions With Jesus to provide me with short audio message segments, Scriptures, Bible reading suggestions, special comments, and short prayers to pray. If this is the program, then use it to address my normal, everyday spiritual needs.

Jesus, if I am a Christian who doesn’t really have a major difficulty or an accumulation of problems that have piled up, then guide me into Devotions With Jesus.

In this study, Jesus, show me that You pretty much cover all personal needs. Teach me that the great thing about this program is that You use specific personal problems like my struggle with loss of a loved one to bring healing and training to me. If this is the program You want me to study, then teach me how to USE my problem with loss of a loved one to learn powerful Biblical principles so I can start winning over it and all the other issues in my life.

Jesus, rather than providing general spiritual training and help like in Devotions With Jesus, show me that You deal with specific issues that are causing me major struggles or specific spiritual needs. If my problem with loss of a loved one is relatively major or a spiritual issue that needs special spiritual growth, and if I am willing to allow You to use it to teach me important Biblical principles, then lead me into HELP eMagazine’s “Victorious Christian Living.”
