You are now moving into the spiritual realm where Jesus lives. This is a place where words do things that it would take a lot of human effort to accomplish in our realm. In Genesis, the first book of the Bible, Jesus told light to come into existence and it did! Jesus created the heavens and the earth just by speaking words. When you leave this planet and join Jesus in His Kingdom, that is the way you will live. He is showing you how to live as a child of God in the world of God. Jesus is trying to get you ready for it.

As you are reading the bolded words from the Bible during these studies, those words will have the same creative power Jesus used when He was creating all the living things on our earth. The words of the Bible will be quite a bit more gentle and gradual than it was at creation. Your faith will be the controller valve that regulates this creative flow. When you believe ALL of something Jesus is trying to create in you, ALL of it flows your way. When you only believe PART of it, only PART of it flows your way.

Just like the power of electricity flows through wires to get from the power plant TO your house, so does the power of Jesus flow INTO the Bible to get TO you. Then, just as electricity flows through the wires INSIDE your house, the power of Jesus flows FROM the Bible THROUGH your faith and changes the situations in your life. As this power flows through the words of the Bible, that you read in these studies, it will FIRST work on improving your faith. This is because faith is the conductor or spiritual “wire” that the answers to your needs flow through.

Just like wires “conduct” electricity and pipes “conduct” water into your home, faith conducts Jesus’ miracles, healing, and answers to your prayers into your life. Now, just because wires are bringing electricity to the outside wall of your house, and just because wires are distributing electricity to the various rooms in you house, doesn’t mean you are plugging your appliances and devices into the receptacles. FAITH-ACTION is the procedure of you “plugging” your life into the power of Jesus.

FAITH-ACTION is where you act on the basis of the fact that Jesus spoke miracles, healing, and transformation into you. When Jesus gives something to you and you don’t USE it, you HAVE it, but it lays dormant in your life. Jesus responded to your prayer and your faith; your studies in the Bible are paying off; your desires are being rewarded; but, you can just hoard them rather than use them.

Jesus will be spending a lot of time in the Bible trying to convince you that He is honest, trustworthy, true, and real. He will be using human words that look the same as the words you are used to. However, He takes these human words and turns them into creative words. Then through them He starts to pour His love, grace, faith, and healing into you. You start to FEEL the warmth of His heart, as He talks to you through His words in the Bible. As you study the Bible through these studies, you and Jesus will start to build a friendship and a companionship. That helps you learn to BELIEVE in and TRUST Him; that is FAITH.

Once Jesus answers your prayer, it would seem like the answer would take over your life. But, as usual, Jesus honors your God-given free will. He has done what you have asked; now it is your job to live on the basis of it. James 2:17 (NIV) In the same way, FAITH by itself, if it is not accompanied by ACTION, is dead. After Jesus has given you faith to believe you have something from Him, He expects you to use it. He doesn’t expect you to use it alone by yourself. He is more than willing to join you in helping you take full advantage of the miracles, healings, breakthroughs, and transformation. But, you must invite Him into that relationship; and, you must look to Him to show you how to take FAITH-ACTION on it.

There is a door into this FAITH-ACTION relationship with Jesus where you become able to LIVE ON THE BASIS OF His generosity, graciousness, power, and love. It is a process where I start living on the basis of my inheritance. Rather than you just being Jesus’ friend, He has made you one of His family members; you became one of God’s children. Once this happened, it gave you special family rights and privileges. As you STUDY the Bible you will see Jesus do things that are supernatural; but, they are natural to Him. He wants you to live in this supernatural realm and allow it to be natural to you.

Inheritance is one of those things that happens in most families, when the parents die. Jesus’ death, however, gave you access to His will and testament now. Jesus’ will or testament is called the New Testament. That will or testament was written to tell you what your inheritance is. Just like you cause a lawyer to write out exactly what you want in your will, Jesus caused His specially picked people to write out a will or testament describing everything you have inherited from God. Then Jesus helps you take FAITH-ACTION and enjoy the benefits of that inheritance. Your job is to invite Jesus into your moment-by-mement and issue-by-issue events of your day. When you do that, Jesus will empower you to take advantage of all He is giving you.
