Jesus, I understand that typically people run into issues in one Life Category. It will either be in their emotions, relationships, finances, physical issues, or spiritual needs. If I had a big problem in one of these areas, I could identify it, bring it to God, and concentrate on it until I found the answers God has to solve it. But, I have a bunch of small problems coming from several of these Life Categories, it is difficult for me to put a label on it.

Jesus, as I look over all the things I am going through, it is almost impossible to know what area to attack first. I need help with my finances, my relationships, my emotions, and even some help with a few physical problems. Help me see that with this LIFE subject, I don’t have to isolate one particular problem, especially if they are all small. Let me appreciate the fact that with this LIFE subject, it enables me to deal with the fact that they have accumulated and are piling up.

Jesus, when LIFE is getting difficult because so many things are going wrong, I need a place to go where I can study and pray in a general way. I am in a situation where I can’t put your finger on any one issue that is any worse than any other one. It is where it would be difficult for me to even put them in a priority of need or pressure. When life gets to the place where I find myself getting stressed because I have such a long list of things going wrong, it wonderful that you made it possible for me to choose this LIFE study and prayer time. All I have to do is see my life as one big problem and then come to God with my life.

Jesus, teach me that God doesn’t require me to wait until I have something that impresses Him. You are a supernatural God; but, You went about helping people with whatever problem they had. You weren’t drawn to important people, rich people, powerful people, popular people, or prestigious people. If anything, You were drawn to people who were very ordinary. If it was a woman that crawled through the crowd to touch Your garment, a powerful Roman soldier, or a hated tax collector in a tree, You had time to help all who wanted Your help.

Jesus, make it clear to me that if I have a big problem or a small one, it isn’t the problem that interests You, it’s me You actually care about. Help me see that You aren’t concerned about problems accept for the fact that they are hurting me. Show me that another thing is, You care about the fact that I have “something” that is motivating me to come to You. Mat 11:28 (NIV) COME to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Teach me that I don’t have to be weary and burdened in order to get Your rest. It is just typical of us humans to stay away until we are weary and burdened.

Jesus, I have heard people say, “God helps those who help themselves.” Teach me that the truth of the matter is, if I am busy helping myself You will leave me to it. Make it clear to me that You help those who come. According to You, in Matthew 7:11, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ASK Him! According to James 4:2, You do not have, BECAUSE you do not ASK God. All my issues may have been so small that the reason they got piled up was because I felt they were too insignificant for God to care about. Or, maybe they were insignificant to me until enough of them piled up. What ever happened, help me see that I am doing the right thing now. I am bring my problems to You.
