Jesus, money plays a vital part in almost everything I do in life. If I don’t have enough money, I can suffer a lot of stress and worry. I have real necessities of life that cannot be obtained if I don’t have enough money. Food, clothing, housing, and transportation are things I can’t do without. If I don’t have enough money, I will find myself in a lot of trouble. Help me with this dilemma.

Jesus, just because I have enough money for the basic necessities of life doesn’t always mean I feel like I have enough money. There are desires inside of me and pressures from the outside of me that push me into feeling like I need more money than what is required for my necessities. I can’t seem to control these feelings that are pushing me.

Jesus, I need some kind of house to protect me from the weather and from bad people, but I feel a NEED for a house that is better than just a shack that shields me from the elements. I have to have adequate food; but I feel I NEED food that tastes good, too. Clothing is a necessity of my life; but clothes that make me feel and look good are very important too. A bicycle may be able to get me to work; but a car is better; and a nice car is even better than that. There doesn’t seem to be a stopping place; I seem to find myself always wanting more.

Jesus, there are things I owe money for that I haven’t paid for yet; these have become my bills. A lot of bills have come from me spending money that I don’t have yet. These can be a house, a car, or a repair that isn’t covered by insurance. Some of my bills are a normal course of life. My utility bills are created because I don’t know how much electricity or gas I am going to need for the month. So the utility company allows me to use their utilities and then pay for them after they have been used. Those are typically bills I can handle. However, some bills come from me buying something that I can’t pay cash for. They cost more money than I have on hand. I realize that bills are the major cause of money issues and financial difficulties. Help me get this issue solved in my life.

Jesus, help me understand that You don’t need to help me find reasons for my financial issues; You can set me free without my life having to be perfect. The circumstances of my life can’t hurt me, once I experience the power of God’s healing. Show me that it is true He will do a lot of great things with my circumstances; but, the main miracle will be what He does in my heart.

Mat 28:18 (NIV) Then Jesus came to them and said, “ALL authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Jesus, make it really clear that my struggles with money isn’t bigger that You, Your power, or Your provisions. Show me that it is a simple thing for You to heal mw and set me free from anything I am dealing with. I have already heard that Luke 1:37 (NIV) For nothing is impossible with God. Help me see that the big issue is, what do I have to do to get Your help? If I went to a human hospital, clinic, rehab program, or most any other place for helping people with their problems, most of the responsibilities would be on them for making you well. However, unlike them, You have a goal for me that I am not aware of.

Mat 11:28 (NIV) Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Jesus, I know You want to help; I know You have the power to help; so, reveal to me what the problem is. Help me spend time with You and allow You to help me understand what the hold up is, what is keeping this problem from being solved, and what the process is for me being healed of these issues with money. Show me that the most difficult part of this problem is the nature of me having a struggle. The problem itself is bad enough; but, the way it is able to dominate me and change a lot of my life make it seem very powerful. Help me understand what You wantme to learn is, You are much more powerful. And, You want to help me to be powerful through You.

Eph 6:10 (NIV) Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Jesus, help me embrace the fact that You have a plan for me where you not only learn how to handle this issue, You train me and empower me to win over all issues. You want to develop a relationship with me where I work together with You. He will train you how to yield to His power and provisions until I am a skilled, trained, experienced, and mature child of God. Teach me that everyone goes through similar problems like my; but, too many of them don’t join You and get life-training. Make it clear to me that I am really not on this planet to just learn how to be a human, I am here to learn how to be dynamic as a child of God.

Jesus, You offer the solutions to all of these problems and consequences. But, the big thing You want me to learn is, You and I can easily defeat them. It is just that I haven’t put as much effort in my child of God training as I have my human training.
