You Have To ASK
Rev 3:20 (NIV) Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me. The thing you need to understand about Jesus is expressed in Matthew 28:18. Mat 28:18 (NIV) Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Since Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth why doesn’t He do more to help you make decisions? Why does He just stand at the door of your heart and MIND and knock while you make wrong, bad, or evil decisions? If you are going to get the answer to these questions, you must understand how powerful your God-given free will is.
You Have To ASK Because Of Your God-Given Free Will
2 Pet 3:9 (NIV) The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not WANTING ANYONE to perish, but EVERYONE to come to repentance. If God doesn’t WANT you to perish, why will He allow you to DECIDE to do things that cause you to perish? If it is NOT God’s will for ANYONE to perish and yet He allows them to perish if they want to, then you can see that your God-given free will is completely under your control. The Three Keys To All Of Christianity and The Six Biblical Principles are God’s way of helping you with your POWERFUL God-given free will.
You Have To ASK Because You Are Free
John 8:36 (NIV) So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. The moment you were born again, you were set free on a level that went beyond your wildest imagination. Prior to salvation and justification, Satan, the world, and your body pushed you, tempted you, addicted you, and enslaved you. Then all at once, you were born again and you were set FREE! Now, you have to ASK for EVERYTHING you get from God. Why? Because you are FREE! God gave you your free will back; so, if you don’t DECIDE “do what it takes” to get God’s help, He will wait until you do.

You Have To ASK Because Jesus Is Knocking
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock: Even though Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth He will wait for your moment-by-moment, issue-by-issue decisions as to whether or not you DESIRE His help. You can’t make a general request for His help; you can’t just set a general rule that you always want His help; you have to ASK for His help with every single issue you face. It is a moment-by-moment, issue-by-issue decision you make all day long. This is how your God-given free will is honored all day long.
You Have To ASK Because Jesus Is Waiting
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door: If you DECIDE to apply the ASK key and invite Jesus into an issue, you have just OPENED THE DOOR for Him to come into that situation and help you make good choices and decisions. If you make ASKING a part of your lifestyle, then you will be opening every door of every one of your decisions to Jesus.
You Must Want A Close Relationship With Jesus
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me: Jesus does want to help you with your decisions as it relates to your friendships, your marriage, your family, your business, and your career; but, He mainly wants to help you with your decisions that help you have a close relationship with Him. You are currently DECIDING to pursue Him by involving yourself in these studies and prayers. This is one of the most important decisions you make everyday.
