YOUR STRENGTH
The SEEK Key
You Need To Ask With Intensity
All of your Christian life starts with The Three Keys To All Of Christianity: ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK make The Six Biblical Principes work and everything in your relationship with God. Once you have gotten used to ASKING before you take any kind of action, you will be ready to add the SEEK dimension to all your will-power. You will start ASKING Jesus to empower you to get the intensity of the SEEK key. This will put passion, determination, commitment, and enthusiasm into every aspect of your relationship with yourself, other people, and God.
SEEK
How Much?
Do you DESIRE to submit your will-power to Jesus? To what degree, how intense, and with what determination do you want to submit your will-power to Jesus? When you apply the ASK key, if you also apply the SEEK key, you will allow Jesus to empower you to ASK for a DESIRE that has passion, determination, commitment, and enthusiasm. For example, if you are ASKING Jesus to empower you to DESIRE to submit your will-power to Him, you could just ASK for a DESIRE; or, you could ASK Jesus for an INTENSE DESIRE.
What’s Your Top Priority?
Mat 6:33 (NIV) But SEEK FIRST His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these THINGS will be given to you as well. The SEEK key is not only dealing with intensity, it is also dealing with priority. Your will-power can wander from one interest to another; however, if you allow Jesus to help you with the SEEK key, He will put an intensity on somethings and not as much on others. You may have a list of priorities you are giving to your will-power; but, Jesus’ will-power may be leading you to different priorities. Things that may seem unimportant to you may be a vital issue to Jesus.
Who’s Your Top Priority?
Heb 11:6 (NIV) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. The SEEK key also deals with making God your most important issue. If you are going to EARNESTLY SEEK God, then you would ask Jesus to empower you to apply the SEEK key to your pursue of God. The word “earnestly” is the the part that SEEK deals with. If you SEEK God casually, then you are just applying the ASK key. Jesus will help you increase in your emotions as you direct your will-power to God. Jesus will help you pursue God with passion, determination, commitment, and enthusiasm.

Which Are Your Top Principles?
Phil 2:3-4 (NIV) Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. If everyone is pushing and shoving trying to get ahead, get to the top, and beat the competition, then all the people around you are your opponents. Even if you belong to a team, if you are busy trying to make sure you are taken care of as your first priority, then all those around you are secondary. SEEK helps you have an intense concern for those around you. They become a major part of your priority.
Who Sets What You Seek?
Jesus said in John 5:30 (NIV): “By Myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and My judgment is just, for I SEEK not to please Myself but Him Who sent Me.” If you are spending most of your time SEEKING those things you want, you need, and you like, it moves all those around you to small part of your influence. The reason Jesus was and is so helpful to us came through His priorities from His Father. If you allow yourself to see through Jesus’ eyes, it will open your will-power to a lot of other people.
Trading Human Seeking For God’s Seeking
Rom 2:7-8 (NIV) To those who by persistence in doing good SEEK glory, honor and immortality, He will give eternal life. But for those who are self-SEEKING and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. The rewards for using the SEEK key are tremendous; and, the benefits of giving up being self-SEEKING are tremendous too. You are giving up wrath and anger and you are gaining eternal life. As you submit your will-power to Jesus’ will-power, your rewards here and in eternity will be incredible.
