Loving Enough To Submit Your Will-Power

Opening Four Doors To God
Mark 12:30 (NIV) Love the Lord your God with all your HEART and with all your SOUL
and with all your MIND and with all your STRENGTH.

Opening Your Strength To God
Loving Yourself, Others, And God Enough
To Submit Your Will-Power To Jesus
Are you willing to take the fifth step in The Six Biblical Principles? Are you willing to LOVE yourself, other people, and God with every aspect of your life? This is talking about God’s love; it is a power-love that enables you to love yourself as a special work of God. You didn’t do all these wonderful things to yourself; Jesus did! You are like a beautiful painting that people look at and admire and appreciate. As long as you don’t go into pride, you will be able to LOVE the wonderful work Jesus did and is doing in you.

1 Cor 4:7 (NIV) For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? It is awesome what Jesus is doing in you; you are being transformed into incredible spiritual attitudes and character. Your thoughts, feelings, words, and deeds are being changed into very special abilities, blessings, miracles, and love. You are changing in ways that are supernatural, miraculous, God-sized, and dynamic. If you fail to LOVE, appreciate, and recognize these great works of God in you, it will hurt your relationship with God. You must LOVE yourself, or, you won’t be able to love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:31).

YOUR STRENGTH
Submitting Your Will-Power To Jesus Through Love
Mark 12:30 (NIV) Love the Lord your God with all your HEART and with all your SOUL and with all your MIND and with all your STRENGTH. Up until now, Jesus has been working on you opening up your HEART, SOUL, MIND, and STRENGTH; but, the major way for you to open these doors up is through the power of God’s LOVE. If you are going to LOVE God with all of you, then you are going to need a power that is superior to your own. That is why God gave you His LOVE the moment you received salvation and justification. Now, as you bring your will-power before God, God’s love opens your STRENGTH of will to a much broader perspective.

Since You Have God’s Love
Loving God with ALL your STRENGTH is the major process of submitting it to Jesus. LOVE is the reason for why you do what you do. If you can’t LOVE yourself by appreciating what God has done to you, for you, with you, and through you, you will lack appreciation for His awesome work. If you can’t LOVE your neighbor by being able to feel what they feel, you will live a selfish life. If you can’t LOVE God with all your HEART, SOUL, MIND, and STRENGTH, you will have a weak relationship with Him. But, God gave you HIS LOVE; that LOVE can empower you to do all these things.

Reasons For Loving
Mat 11:28 (NIV) Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Jesus wants you to be like Him; He wants to help you yield to His love so you can feel like this with others. The people around you may act okay, but, they are lonely, hurt, sad, empty, and unloved. As long as they don’t have God’s love, and as long as they are surrounded by others who don’t have God’s love, they can’t get relationships that meet their needs. When you enter into their lives having submitted your will-power to God’s love, things change for them. Your will-power submitted to Jesus’ will-power helps you learn how to yield to the LOVE OF GOD that has been poured into your heart.

Think About Yourself
Mat 7:12 (NIV) So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. You may not WANT to submit your will-power to Jesus because of the pain of caring about other people. But, what if you were that other person? Put yourself in all the other places you see those around you in. Just for a moment allow yourself to go into problems, difficulties, lonliness, depressions, and emptiness of those around you. Then allow yourself to be them; what would you want others to do if it were you there?

Think About The Bible And Jesus
John 14:15 (NIV) If you love Me, you will obey what I command. John 15:12 (NIV) My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Jesus left His positions, power, conveniences, and glory in heaven and came to earth in the likeness of a human. He went through all the inconveniences of weather, fatigue, pain, temptations, and rejections of this life. He then suffered and died on a cross for you and your sins. Now He is asking you to love others as He has loved you. If you can see things from other people’s perspectives, you will see how important it is for you to love them enough to help them spend eternity with Jesus.

Submitting Your Will-Power To Jesus
You actually have God’s love already; the way to submit your will-power to Jesus through love is a process of yielding. Since you have God’s love, all you have to do is yield to it; but, you have to know how. As you are going through your day, you have to allow love to motivate you. You can ask Jesus, AT THAT MOMENT, to empower you to yield to God’s love; or, you can just do what you think is best. This is a moment-by-moment, issue-by-issue submittion of your will-power. It is a matter of asking for Jesus to empower you base your choices, decisions, words, and deeds on love. You must allow Jesus’ love-power to influence your will-power. This is done by inviting Him into each moment and each issue of your day.
