Knowing What The Belt Of Truth Is
Through Scriptures

1. The belt of truth is a knowledge:

1 Tim 2:4 (NIV) (God,) Who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of The Truth.

2. The belt of truth is a knowledge that leads to godliness:

Titus 1:1 (NIV) Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God’s elect and the knowledge of The Truth that leads to godliness.

3. The belt of truth is a knowledge that leads to godliness
and delivers us from sinning:

Heb 10:26 (NIV) If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of The Truth, no sacrifice for sins is left.

4. The belt of truth is a power-obedience that yields to God’s love:

1 Pet 1:22 (NIV) Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying The Truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.

5. The belt of truth is a protection that makes us
firmly established in The Truth:

2 Pet 1:12 (NIV) So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in The Truth you now have.

6. The belt of truth is US not claiming to be totally sinless:

1 John 1:8-9 (NIV) If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and The Truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

7. The belt of truth is a Jesus-power that protects us from hate:

1 John 2:8-9 (NIV) Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in Him and you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining. Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.

8. The belt of truth is a Jesus-power that keeps us
from separating from Christians:

1 John 2:19-20 (NIV) They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know The Truth.

9. The belt of truth is a Jesus-power that protects us from lying:

1 John 2:21 (NIV) I do not write to you because you do not know The Truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from The Truth.

10. The belt of truth is a Jesus-power to love with actions:

1 John 3:18-19 (NIV) Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to The Truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in His presence.

11. The belt of truth is a Jesus-power to read, understand,
and obey the Bible:

1 John 4:6 (NIV) We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

12. The belt of truth is a Jesus-power to show
hospitality to fellow workers:

3 John 1:5-8 (NIV) Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, even though they are strangers to you. They have told the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans. We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men so that we may work together for The Truth.

13. The belt of truth is a Jesus-power for us to be
well spoken of by other Christians:

3 John 1:12 (NIV) Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone--and even by The Truth itself. We also speak well of him, and you know that our testimony is true.
