The ASK Key
You Have To ASK
Rev 3:20 (NIV) Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me. The thing you need to understand about Jesus is expressed in Matthew 28:18. Mat 28:18 (NIV) Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. It can be confusing to you that Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth but stands at the door of your heart and MIND and knocks. If you are going to REALLY understand the ASK key, you are going to have to understand your God-given free will.
You Have To ASK Because Of Your God-Given Free Will
2 Pet 3:9 (NIV) The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not WANTING ANYONE to perish, but EVERYONE to come to repentance. If God will honor your free will to the degree that He will allow you to DECIDE to perish, then He honors it in every way. If it is NOT God’s will for ANYONE to perish and yet He allows them to perish if they want to, then you can see that your God-given free will is completely under your control.
You Have To ASK Because You Are Free
John 8:36 (NIV) So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. A lot of Christians have no idea how free they are. The moment you were born again, you were set free on a level that went beyond your wildest imagination. All of a sudden you became a child of God, a member of His family, and a citizen of His Kingdom and yet, God didn’t take over your life. Prior to salvation and justification, Satan, the world, and your body pushed you, tempted you, addicted you, and enslaved you. Then all at once, you were born again and you were FREE! Now, you have to ASK for EVERYTHING you get from God. Why? Because you are FREE!

You Have To ASK Because Jesus Is Knocking
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock: Even though Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth He is taking you through these studies and prayers and just knocking. He isn’t forcing the information into your MIND; He isn’t using it to take over your life; He isn’t making you submit your MIND to Him. He is talking to you, reasoning with you, and giving you proof that this is the best way for you to win at life. You have constant and complete freedom to moment by moment, issue by issue make your own decisions or give them to Him.
You Have To ASK Because Jesus Is Waiting
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door: You can quit these studies and prayers anytime you want; and, you can change your MIND about Jesus anytime you want. If you go through your day and don’t want to hear Jesus’ voice as you make each decision, you can do that. BUT, if you appy the ASK key, you have just OPENED THE DOOR for Jesus to come into that situation and help you with it. If you make ASKING a part of your lifestyle, then you will be opening every door in your life to Jesus.
Want A Close Relationship With Jesus
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me: Your intimate relationship with Jesus is based on you incorporating the ASK key into the moment-by-moment, issue-by-issue activities of your life. The ASK key introduces you into the powerful principles of HOW TO GET JESUS into every aspect of your heart and MIND. If you ASK, Jesus will guide you into all the things you need to do to submit your MIND to Him.
