How Do You Submit
Your Life To Jesus Through Faith-Action?

Opening Doors To People
A Change Of Behavior
Mark 12:31b (NIV) “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 1 John 1:7 (NIV) But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have FELLOWSHIP with one another, and the BLOOD of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all SIN. You have a perfect, clean record with God because of Jesus’ suffering and death on the cross. That takes care of your relationship with God for as long as you WANT to do the right, good, and righteous things, and, as long as you HATE doing wrong, bad, or evil things (Rom 7:15). These right, good, and righteous things are in reference to the way you treat yourself and other people. You will never be perfect in the way you treat yourself and other people; but, you must WANT to treat them right, good, and righteously. And, you must be WILLING to “do what it takes” to grow spiritually so you can be improving in your behavior.

What Is Jesus’ Part And What Is Your Part?
1 John 1:8 (NIV) If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. No one is perfect except Jesus; you WILL be doing damage to yourself and other people, as you move forward in spiritual growth. Those who do little or nothing to grow spiritually will demonstrate that their WANT to do good is small or absent. Those with no WANT to have their behavior changed are NOT Christians. Those who have very litte desire to have their behavior changed are weak and untrained Christians. WHEN you fail, make a mistake, sin, or commit a misdeed of your body, you are responsible for ASKING Jesus to empower you to admit you did wrong. If that isn’t happening A LOT, then you need to ASK Jesus to help you see where you are failing yourself and other people. Then Jesus will help you get that spiritual problem taken care of.

If You Do Your Part, Jesus Will Do His Part
1 John 1:9 (NIV) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. After you have ASKED Jesus to always make you aware of when you fail in your behavior, the next thing is to ASK Jesus to help you CONFESS each and every issue He brings to your attention. If you try to convince yourself it wasn’t all that bad rather than confessing it, you are deceiving yourself. If you have the slightest indication that what you did was wrong, CONFESS IT! Once you do your part, Jesus will do His part: He is faithful and just and will forgive you your sins and purify you from all unrighteousness. The more you keep confessing, the more you will be motivated to let Jesus help you commit your life to Him. That commitment will help you treat yourself and others with love.

FAITH-ACTION Has To Do With
Who You Believe In
Peter Thought He Could Take Faith-Action
Mat 26:31-32 (NIV) Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of Me, for it is written: ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.” When Jesus diagnoses you and points out a flaw, don’t contradict Him. If you want to change the diagnosis, you will need to ASK Him what you need to do to change it. When Jesus said, for it is written: that was something that was sure to happen. The Bible is the final word on those things it says. You can appeal it to Jesus so as to see if you relationship to it is changeable; but, only Jesus can amend your relationship to His Word.

A Statement Of Self-Confidence Isn’t Powerful Enough
Mat 26:33 (NIV) Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of You, I never will.” Human determination, commitment, positive confession, or self-confidence will not produce faith-action. If Peter has ASKED Jesus to help him not fall away, there MAY have been something Jesus would have been willing to do to help Peter. If Peter had ASKED for Jesus’ help, Jesus probably would have helped Peter not deny Him those three times. He would have probably ran off like the other disciples; but, Jesus could have empowered him to take faith-action and not denied his Lord.

Listen When Jesus Warns You
Mat 26:34 (NIV) “I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown Me three times.” If the Bible warns you, if Jesus causes a warning thought to pop up in your mind, if the Holy Spirit causes you to feel a warning in your conscience, or if a friend warns you, ASK Jesus to empower you to do the right thing. Then let Jesus check your DESIRE to see if you really want His help. ASK Him to bring Scriptures you have STUDIED to your mind to help you know what to do. ASK Him to help you PRAY for the right things regarding the issue. ASK Him to speak faith into you so you will be able to BELIEVE you have the power to do the right thing. ASK Him to help you LOVE others enough to be willing to do the right thing. And then, ASK Him to join you, empower you, and flow through you with FAITH-ACTION of DOING the right thing.

Human Faith-Action
Mat 26:35 (NIV) But Peter declared, “Even if I have to die with You, I will never disown You.” And all the other disciples said the same. Peter had probably been able to do a lot of things he had determined to do. He obviously “believed in himself.” When you are feeling confident about something, ASK Jesus to test it and make sure it is rooted in His faith that He spoke into you. Before you take ACTION, make sure it is FAITH-ACTION. The end results of action without Jesus’ faith is drastically different from faith-action. Peter found this out the hard way.

Results Of Action Without Jesus’ Faith
Mark 14:66-70a (NIV) While Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came by. When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked closely at him. “You also were with that Nazarene, Jesus,” she said. But he denied it. “I don’t know or understand what you’re talking about,” he said, and went out into the entryway. When the servant girl saw him there, she said again to those standing around, “This fellow is one of them.” Again he denied it.

Mark 14:70b-72 (NIV) After a little while, those standing near said to Peter, “Surely you are one of them, for you are a Galilean.” He began to call down curses on himself, and he swore to them, “I don’t know this man you’re talking about.” Immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows twice you will disown Me three times.” And he broke down and wept.

Jesus’ Instructions For Getting His Faith
Watch And Pray
Mat 26:40-41 (NIV) Then He returned to His disciples and found them sleeping. “Could you men not keep watch with Me for one hour?” He asked Peter. There can be a lot of things that interfere with you applying The Three Keys To All Of Christianity and The Six Biblical Principles. You can be too tired, too busy, too frustrated, too doubtful that it will do any good, and a lot of other reasons. But, when it comes time for you to take FAITH-ACTION, you won’t be ready. You need all that Jesus does for you as you apply these two tool sets. Life will offer you a lot of challenges; and, before you know it, you will have done something that you should not have done; or, you will have failed to do something you should have done.

What Is Watching?
Mat 26:41 (NIV) “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.” Jesus has taken you through a lot of training on ASKING and PRAYING; but, not much has been said about WATCHING. Luke 21:36 (NIV) Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man. The words about being on the watch helps you understand a little bit as to what watch means; it is like being on guard. Luke 21:8 (NIV) He replied: “WATCH OUT that you are not deceived. For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them. When someone says, “Watch out!” you start looking around for the danger they are warning you about. Where, prior to that, you may have been relaxed and calm, suddenly you become alert and attentative.

Luke 17:3 (NIV) So watch yourselves. “If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. Now you can see that you aren’t just watching out for external dangers, you are watching or examining yourself to see if there is a problem. Where are the dangers around you and in your life? Are you aware of those dangers? Do you care that you might be in danger? This could generate a lot of fear and apprehension in you. But, if you take each thing that Jesus shows you is a potential danger and address it, your two tool sets will take care of them all. The big issue with WATCH is, you need to ASK Jesus to help you always be aware of any potential danger. Then ASK Him to empower you to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you (1 Pet 5:7). Then ASK Him to empower you to apply your two tool sets to those dangers so as to defeat them.
