Gal 3:29 (NIV) If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. All the promises of God flow through Abraham who was a Jew. So, part of your blessings, benefits, and inheritance flow through Him. Your new birth made you into a spiritual part of Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. This qualified you for thousands of years of promises from God to His people.

Gal 4:1 (NIV) What I am saying is that as long as THE HEIR is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. As a CHILD of God, you have been placed on a planet with very little power or influence over yourself or your environment. As you can see, even with humans placed in a very limited body with very little power, we can still do a lot of damage to the planet and to the people on it. We create wars, poverty, abuse, slavery, and all kinds of different types of suffering. We develop medicines, cures, and help; but, we will charge as much as we can for them. But, Jesus is trying to help you be different; and, He is trying to help you, as an heir, to take everything you learn and start living and sharing it with the rest of the world.

Gal 4:2 (NIV) He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. The reason you are being asked to submit your to Jesus is so He can help you become a very dynamic heir. If you yield to His training, when the proper time comes, you will be fully trained and ready to be a great success in eternity. He will give you human assignments that teach you very important Biblical principles. And, they will help you accomplish some very wonderful things here on earth. Then, based on your performance, He will give you awesome opportunities in eternity. So, since this is what is going on right now in your life, apply yourself to all this training and you will be used by God in a mighty way for His glory and honor.

Gal 4:3-4 (NIV) So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world. You started out as a sinning human; you were a slave to your body’s sinful nature, which are its drives, desires, and weaknesses. So, your first step into the great things of God was to be born again. As a human, you qualified to receive salvation and justification through Jesus: Rom 8:3 (NIV) For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending His Own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so He condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.

Gal 4:4-5 (NIV) But when the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Having the full rights of sons is one thing; taking advantage of them is another. You are “doing what it takes” to take full advantage of them. You are DESIRING to take full advantage; you are STUDYING how to take full advantage; you are PRAYING and asking God to help you take full advantage; you are fixing your eyes on Jesus so He will speak faith into you so you can BELIEVE He has empowered you to take full advantage; you are LOVING people enough to share with them how to take full advantage; and then you are taking FAITH-ACTION and living on the basis of the fact that God has empowered you to take full advantage.

Gal 4:6 (NIV) Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son INTO our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” As you DESIRE, STUDY, PRAY, BELIEVE, LOVE, and take FAITH-ACTION, you are taking advantage of the fact that you have Jesus’ Spirit inside you. You are allowing Jesus to empower you and take you into the great things of God. But, as long as you, THE HEIR, are a child, you are no different from a slave, although you own the whole estate. But, you are yielding to Jesus and are currently allowing Him to train you in. This makes your earthly and eternal future VERY EXCITING!

Gal 4:7 (NIV) So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir. You were born again into being a child of God, a member of His family, and a citizen in His Kingdom. You have received the full rights of a son. But, for now you are subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by your heavenly Father. As you faithfully allow Jesus to take you through these studies and prayers, He is getting you ready for your Father’s time set. You are being asked to fulfill all your assignments well in all your life classes. This will give you great success here on earth and bring great success in eternity.

Heb 2:6-8 (NIV) But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is man that You are mindful of him, the son of man that You care for him? You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor and put everything under his feet.” In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him. You may not feel like you are special; it may not look like God has crowned you with glory and honor and put everything under your feet; and, He hasn’t yet. What you have to do is move into Jesus; He has already “done what it takes” to fulfill all the requirements. Now, all you have to do is join Him in learning how to live on the basis of them.

Mat 28:18 (NIV) Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Jesus has alreay passed the test for you; now, all you have to do is join Him and He will take you into The Victorious Christian Life. John 15:4 (NIV) Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. Your assignment is to learn how to remain in Jesus; if you do, He will remain in you. You are currently learning how to remain in Jesus SO He will remain in you. Once you learn that, He will transform you into a successful inheritor.
