Let Jesus take you through a quick look at some of the things you are going to have to deal with as a spirit being in a human body. It isn’t going to be easy to gain your victory over your human body. But, you, as a spirit being, can win, if you allow yourself to be trained by Jesus in the Bible. Jesus and the Bible’s power will be more than enough to help you get ready for The Victorious Christian Life. So, let Jesus show you what is standing in your way, as you head into being victorious in Him.

Rom 8:12 (NIV) Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation--but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. The sinful nature is located in your body. It is animalistic, selfish, and has a lot of power over you. It can make you think you HAVE TO obey its drives, desires, needs, and wishes. But, you breaking free from its control and making it obey you, as a spirit being, is the main objective in Kingdom inheritance training.

Rom 8:13a (NIV) For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die. This isn’t optional; you must be set free from the control of the sinful nature located in your body. But, the way salvation and justification dealt with that problem was to keep you from being responsible to the Old Testament laws that were giving power to your sinful nature in your body. Rom 8:3-4 (NIV) For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending His Own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so He condemned sin in sinful man, IN ORDER THAT the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to THE SINFUL NATURE but according to THE SPIRIT.

Rom 8:13b-14 (NIV) But, if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Here is the key to The Victorious Christian Life: if BY the Spirit YOU. Jesus is wanting to teach you how to yield to the influence and power of the Holy Spirit. Since He lives inside you, He is able to help you in ways that are very personal and real. You and the Holy Spirit are able to do things that have been impossible for you prior to this. It is just a matter of you learning how to yield to Him. There is a six principle method that takes you into the full power of the Holy Spirit in your life.

If you DESIRE to stop yielding to the sinful nature and start yielding to the Holy Spirit, if you STUDY the Bible and learn how to stop yielding to the sinful nature and start yielding to the Holy Spirit, if you PRAY and ask God to empower you to stop yielding to the sinful nature and start yielding to the Holy Spirit, if you look to Jesus to speak faith into you so you can BELIEVE He HAS empowered you to stop yielding to the sinful nature and start yielding to the Holy Spirit, if you LOVE people enough to share with them how to stop yielding to the sinful nature and start yielding to the Holy Spirit, if you take FAITH-ACTION and join Jesus in being empowered to quit yielding to the sinful nature and start yielding to the Holy Spirit, you will successfully put to death the misdeeds of your body.

Rom 8:15 (NIV) For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The number one issue in yielding to Jesus’ power that flows from Him, through the Holy Spirit, and into you is, DESIRE. Since you are not a robot or a slave, God honors your free will with a great intensity. The hardest thing for us all is to get to the place where we are willing to “do what it takes” to get Jesus’ help. You know you want to be set free from your difficulties with spirituality. And, it feels like you would be willing to do almost anything to see that happen. But, a lot of the time your heart is fooling you.

Jer 17:9-10 (NIV) The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.” Jesus has been spending a lot of time trying to convince your mind about these truths in the Bible. You may feel like He is over doing it by keeping on convincing rather than getting on with telling you how. You can be taught The Six Biblical Principles and The Three Keys To All Of Christianity until you can quote them backward and forward. But, if your heart doesn’t DESIRE these things of God, you can get caught and stopped at the very first principle in The Six Biblical Principles. God is searching your heart; and, if He sees your heart doesn’t REALLY want something, Jesus won’t do it for you.

Rom 8:16 (NIV) The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Jesus healed a lot of people while He was walking around on this earth. Some of these people were so appreciative that they devoted the rest of their healed life to living out Jesus’ principles. Others took their healed body and used it to do wrong, bad, and even evil things with it. The Holy Spirit is telling you that you are a child of God. But, what will you do with all these rights and privileges that are now coming your way? What Jesus wants to do with this assurance you are getting from the Holy Spirit is, He wants to help you use your child of God life for loving yourself, other people, and God.

Rom 8:17 (NIV) Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory. What is it going to take to help you become so appreciative of God’s blessings, provisions, and opportunities that you will devote your life to Him? One of the most powerful things that can change your attitude is to see how generous He is. You being a child of God could mean a lot of things; but, what it actually means is, you inherit God! And, it also means that you are co-heirs with Christ. But, that may not excite you or help you DESIRE to totally devote your life to God.

Rom 8:18 (NIV) I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Here is a person who is so excited about his future rewards that any pain or suffering he has to go through to get them is considered worth it. He clearly sees what God has stored up for his future; so, he is sold out for God and is enjoying it. God has so impressed him with all the inheritance benefits that nothing is going to get in his way. That is what Jesus wants to do for you; He wants to help you look into what your future will be like if you put your complete trust in Him.
