Jesus, I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that, by His power God raised You from the dead, and He will raise me also (1 Cor 6:14). Now, help me lead my friend into this confession and faith. Help me show my friend that it is impossible to be a Christian, if they don’t believe that God raised You from the dead. Help me teach them that all of their power and success in the Christian life are going to come through You. All their abilities to resist the difficulties with the issues of life, all their hope for eternal life, and their citizenship in the Kingdom of God are based on life after death through You.

Jesus, if only for this life we have hope in You, we are to be pitied more than all men. But You have indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep (1 Cor 15:19-20). Help me show my friend that if God didn’t raise You from the dead, then they have no reason whatsoever to believe that they will be raised from the dead; they can’t call on a dead God. Help me teach them that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. That means that when they call on You, You will answer them and empower them to live the life of a citizen in God’s Kingdom.

Jesus, help me encourage my friend with the fact that later it will be easy for them to know that Jesus has been raised from the dead. They will experience all kinds of miracles from Him that will PROVE His being alive. But for now help me show them that they just need to consider a few truths about Jesus.

Jesus, help me show them that we are all going to live forever somewhere. Our bodies die; but the spirit person that is the real us is going to keep on living. You never ceased to exist; You, as a Spirit being, continued to live; we can’t kill a spirit. Help me explain to them at all they are being asked to believe is, that the Father put Your Spirit back in Your body. Help me show them that they aren’t being asked to believe that You ceased to exist and the Father made You exist again.

The question is, can my friend be helped to believe that God raised You from the dead?

Jesus, help me teach my friend that You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by You all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by You and for You. You are before all things, and in You all things hold together (Col 1:15-17). Let me help them understand that if You ceased to exist, the universe, the earth, and they would cease to exist. You created them and are NOW holding them and all things together.

Jesus, help me teach my friend that faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through Your word (Rom 10:17). Help them understand that You spoke faith in them while I was presenting the good news message to them. It was a supernatural miracle that caused them to know they were hearing the truth. Help them see that people could have tried to convince them; and, people could have tried to argue and debate with them. But, no matter how hard they may have tried, they just wouldn’t have believed without You speaking this faith into them. Help me teach them that, that knowledge empowers them to KNOW God raised You from the dead.

Jesus, help me teach them that, if anyone is in You, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come (2 Cor 5:17)! Help my friend feel “something” different about themselves. Help them see that there are new attitudes, new ways of seeing things, new desires in their heart, and new circumstances starting to come their way. There is faith, hope, love, and power starting to show up in their life. Help them see that they know God raised You from the dead because You are changing their life.

Jesus, help me show my friend that if they were a person without the Spirit they would not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they would be foolishness to them, and they could not understand them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Cor 2:14). Help me show them that, that was their life prior to salvation. But, now they are able to read these things and they are making sense to them. As I talk to my friend, help me show them that they are now understanding a lot of what I am telling them. Help them see that the Bible makes it clear that if You had not been raised from the dead, You wouldn’t be able to speak to them through the Holy Spirit. And, they would lack spiritual ears and eyes that were capable of learning all the wonderful things of God.

Jesus, help me make the right spiritual growth classes available to my friend. Thank You for having them prepared for me and my friends. Help me and my friend see that these materials from Jesus will use the power we now have through salvation and help us be healed from the issues of life. There I and my friends will find powerful help from You and Your Bible to assist us in our journey into a life of victory. That life will be available for here and into eternal life in God’s eternal Kingdom. Thank You Jesus for having people praying for us that these Spiritual Growth studies will bless and strengthen us.
