Know Where Temptation Comes From
Jesus, help me explain to my friend that most of the pressure they are experiencing to do bad, unloving things to themselves and the people around them comes from the evil one, Satan. Not only that, help me show them that most of the bad things that happen to them come from him. The bad “luck,” difficult circumstances, and temptations to sin typically come from him. Show me that this part of this prayer is usually an easy portion of the prayer for my friend to pray. Because, most of us want to be delivered from the evil one. But, help me check and see whether or not they realize the devil exists.

Pray For Deliverance
Jesus, help me find out whether or not this is my friend’s heart’s desire. If it is, then let me help them pray this portion of the prayer two ways. Let me have them say: “Deliver me from the evil one.” Then let me have them say: “Deliver us from the evil one.” Help me teach them that when they pray this, they are asking God to not only deliver them but to deliver all the other people on earth from Satan. Help me show them that if they and the people of this world will receive God’s answer to their prayer, their life will become as meaningful and blessed as many others have become.

You Shared Eternal Life!
Jesus, help me receive this congratulation. But, help me see that You made it all possible. You have just empowered me to help my friend ask their heavenly Father to make them His child, a member of His family, and a citizen in His Kingdom. Help me explain to them that God is now ready to start answering their prayers as they begin their life as a Christian. Help me show them that this will be a time for them to try it all out. And this is a time for them to see if they want to become a permanent member of His family and Kingdom. Let me show them that You and Your people are all committed to helping them experience all the blessings and provisions of God.

How To Keep The Power Life
Jesus, I thank You for covering all the main problems my friend will run into in the four reactions people have to God’s good news about His Kingdom and family. Since this was covered in the “How To Keep The Power Life” study, if my friend needs to go back there and read over it again, help me know whether or not it is a good idea. If they haven’t already gone through it and You, Jesus, feel they are ready, let me take my friend through this study so they will be properly prepared to deal with these issues.

Keep Them Moving Forward
Jesus, if I or my friend run into other problems, help us take advantage of all the things You will be providing. Help us take advantage of these very important resources on this website. Help me follow the guidelines provided in the next pages of this study. Let it help me and my friend get the help I and they need. Jesus, You want to help me and my friend be more than conquerors through Him Who loved us (Rom 8:37). You want me and my friend to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power (Eph 6:10). Now as I go back to the very important issue of my friend forgiving people, let me help them with it. Jesus, after The Lord’s Prayer, You picked up this issue because unforgiveness can keep Your prayer from working in my and my friend’s lives.

Jesus, if I and my friend forgive men when they sin against us, our heavenly Father will also forgive us. But if we do not forgive men their sins, our Father will not forgive our sins (Mat 6:14-15).

Forgiveness
They Don’t Deserve To Be Forgiven
Jesus, help me understand this big issue covered by You right after the prayer You gave us to pray. You were saying that my friend forgiving others is vital to the forgiveness their heavenly Father is providing them. Help me teach them that to be a permanent Christian, sealed by His Spirit, and secure in His protection and love is going to require that they forgive everyone. Help me show them that first, they need to forgive those in their past who have hurt them. Then second, they need to continue to forgive all who hurt them now and in the future. |
Jesus Can Help Me Do The Impossible
Jesus, if I or my friend have ANY problems in this area, help us not neglect this issue. Show us that we cannot be forgiven without forgiving everyone past, present, and future. But, help this not frighten me or my friend. Help us keep asking for Your help with our attitudes; You know this can be very hard for us.

Jesus’ Power-Forgiveness
Jesus, help me teach my friend that You aren’t asking them to forgive people WITHOUT them receiving Your power to forgive. Let me help my friend pray for Your power-forgiveness; help me show them that it is a power to forgive that heals their heart. You give them a freedom and a release from the bitterness, hatred, anger, and desire to get even. Help me and my friend realize that this is something we need to be constantly praying for. Help me teach my friend to not stop praying about it each day until they have complete victory in this matter. Help me show them that this next verse is the main issue they need to start praying about:
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Forgiveness Opens Or Closes The Door
Jesus, if my friend has any problems forgiving someone, help them stay in prayer with God each day until they get Your power-forgiveness to forgive others. Since this is one thing that is really important to God, help them understand that this issue isn’t optional. Help me teach them that their relationship with their heavenly Father is based on this attitude. Let me help them keep praying everyday about it until they get the victory over all lack of forgiveness.
