Rom 1:18 (NIV) The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. Help me understand that the important thing to realize about God is that He IS LOVE: 1 John 4:8 (NIV) Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. Help me appreciate God’s wrath on these people because they are hurting themselves and other people. Show me that God really loves those people who are being hurt by these wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.

Help me see that God really cares that these wicked people are keeping themselves and other people from seeing His wonderful blessings. John 3:36 (NIV) Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him. Show me that they aren’t just suppressing the truth from themselves, they are campaigning and pushing their lies. They are doing their best to keep people from believing in the Son and getting eternal life. People are rejecting Jesus because of their lies. Help me get the truth to these hurting people.

Jesus, show me other ways the wicked suppress the truth as I go about my day: When I am at work, I feel their resistance when I talk about You. If I bring my Bible to a party, I can visualize the looks and stares from them. When I mention things people are doing that the Bible speaks against, I can feel the resistance. Help me see that suppressing the truth isn’t just a personal matter, these people are pushing and spreading their lies. Help me understand that for me to resist wrong, bad, and evil, it won’t just be a temptation from the devil in my mind, it will come from every direction during my day. People, literature, videos, movies, games, and advertisements will be pushing those things I and the people around me need to resist.

Eph 6:10 (NIV) Finally, be strong in the Lord and in HIS mighty power. Jesus, make me a vessel You can flow through in power. Train me so I can be used by You to destroy evil. 2 Cor 10:4 (NIV) The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have DIVINE power to demolish strongholds. As I look to You in Your earthly body and look at all the incredible aspects of God’s creation, let it be so that I will be able to yield to Your supernatural power.

Phil 4:13 (NIV) I can do everything through Him (Jesus) Who gives me strength. Jesus, as I see what You are capable of by looking at Your incredible creation, let it help me realize what You are trying to do in me, through me, for me, to me, and with me. Teach me that as long as I see things as a human, think like a human, and believe like a human, I will find it difficult to be able to resist evil from a supernatural basis.

1 Pet 5:8-9 (NIV) Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. Jesus, I am starting to really see Who You are and what You want to do in and through me. I thank You that creation is doing its job. It is revealing God’s invisible qualities--His eternal power and divine nature. God’s creation is showing me that you, dear child, are from God and have overcome them, BECAUSE the One Who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Jesus, number six, “I Am Impressed With Jesus’ Power” is encouraging me to be amazed with You. Show me how powerful and eternal You are. Show me how vital it is that I see this so I won’t be impressed with my problems, my body, the world, or the devil’s influence. So, prepare my heart and mind for “Understanding Who Jesus Is.”

John 1:1-3 (NIV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made Jesus, You are the Word; You are the divine expression of God. You are the Creator of heaven and earth; and, You created me. You stepped into a small part of Your creation when You came to earth as a baby. When You turned water into wine, calmed storms, raised the dead, and healed sick bodies, You were exercising Your authority over You own creation. Do that in and through me.

In the beginning was the Word: Jesus, help me understand that Your aren’t part of God’s creation; You are the Creator. Teach me Jesus, that You are the Word that spoke all of creation into existence. When I admire, appreciate, and am blessed by the creation, I am being influenced by Your handicraft. What I see is representative of God and His greatness. But, help me see that You created them for Your own specific purpose. Col 1:15-16 (NIV) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created BY Him and FOR Him.

The Word was with God: Jesus, You were in on all the decision-making before the final decision was made as to mankind: Gen 1:26 (NIV) Then God said, “Let US make man in Our image, in Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” Show me that this is an opportunity for me to see God making decisions prior to fulfilling them.

The Word was God: Jesus, You stripped Yourself of Your God nature, equality, authority, and power in order to come to earth in the likeness of a human. Phil 2:5-7 (NIV) Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. Show me that just coming to earth was a major sacrifice.

Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made: With such a beautiful, beneficial creation and with You Who have such a sacrificial love, I am being given an incredible amount of powerful information. I pray for and I allow all of that information to be put into my attitudes and character so I will be able to trust God with all I have and all I am.

Heb 11:6 (NIV) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Jesus, teach me that the objective of God is to help me believe that He exists and that He rewards my efforts of seeking Him. Once You and Your creation have empowered my faith so I am able to believe God exists, You are ready to supply me with the faith to believe God rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
