The Prevention Courses Part 2

Workbook For
“The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace”

Shoes of the Gospel of Peace Scriptures Continued

1. Putting On The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace
Assists The Helmet Of Salvation
Jesus, I accept the truth that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and mind in You, Christ Jesus (Phil 4:7). Let these shoes of the gospel of peace empower my helmet of salvation to guard my heart and mind in You.

2. Putting On The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace
Provides Us With Peace
Jesus, since God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in You, and through You to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through Your blood, shed on the cross, I who was once alienated from God and was an enemy in my mind because of my evil behavior. But now You have reconciled me by Your physical body through death to present me holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation (Col 1:19-22). Now that, that has happened, empower me and my shoes of the gospel of peace to take this message to all mankind.

3. Putting On The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace
Makes Sanctification Possible
Jesus, may God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify me through and through. May my whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at Your coming (1 Th 5:23). And, let me take advantage of that sanctification so I can go into all the world and proclaim Your good news message.

4. Putting On The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace
Through The Discipline Of God
Jesus, no discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for me who has been trained by it (Heb 12:11). Now, let me go forth and reap that great harvest of righteousness and peace.

5. Putting On The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace
Through Growing In The Knowledge Of God
Jesus, let grace and peace be mine in abundance through the knowledge of God and of You, Jesus my Lord (2 Pet 1:2). Then empower me to take my shoes of the gospel of peace and present this abundance through the knowledge of God and You.

6. Putting On The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace
Takes Us Into All The World
Jesus, You have said to me, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation (Mark 16:15).” Empower me to move forward in You and preach this good news to all creation.
7. Putting On The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace
By Presenting That Jesus Is The Messiah
Jesus, help me go day after day, in meeting places and from house to house. Help me never stop teaching and proclaiming the good news that You are the Christ (Acts 5:42).

8. Putting On The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace
By Presenting The Gospel Message
Jesus, help me be like Peter and begin to speak saying: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear Him and do what is right. You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, Who is Lord of all. You know what has happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached--
    1. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how He went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with Him.
    2.
Jesus’ disciples were witnesses of everything He did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem.
    3. They killed Him by hanging Him on a tree.
    4. But God raised Him from the dead on the third day.
    5. And caused Him to be seen. He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen--by
His disciples who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.
    6. He commanded
me to preach to the people and to testify that He is the One Whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.
    7. All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.”
And let it be that while I am still speaking these words, let the Holy Spirit come on all who heard the message. And let the believers who have come with me be astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles and Jews (Acts 10:34-45).

9. Putting On The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace
By Presenting The Gospel Message In Humility
Jesus, when people think I am someone special, help me say: men, why are you doing this? I am only a man, human like you. I am bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, Who made heaven and earth and sea and everything in them (Acts 14:15).

10. Putting On The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace
Make Your Feet Beautiful
And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news (Rom 10:15)!” Jesus, let my feet and these shoes of the gospel of peace be so powerful and so delivering that they become beautiful to those who have been set free.
