Jesus, no matter whatever happens, help me conduct myself in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Help me stand firm in one spirit, contending as one person for the faith of the gospel (Phil 1:27). Let this unity flow through my shoes of the gospel of peace.

Jesus, help the gospel I proclaim go out not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. And, let people know how I live among them for their sake. Help this power, conviction, and example make my shoes of the gospel of peace work in a special way.

By Only Pleasing God
Jesus, let me speak as one approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. Help me not try to please men but God, who tests my heart (1 Th 2:4). Let this commitment produce my shoes of the gospel of peace so I can be totally pleasing to You.

Jesus, help me set such an example that people remember my toil and hardship; where I work night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while I preach the gospel of God to them (1 Th 2:9). Help me do these things so my shoes of the gospel of peace will be used in their very best way.

By Bring Life And Immortality To Light
Jesus, You have saved me and called me to a holy life--not because of anything I have done but because of Your own purpose and grace. This grace was given me in You before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of You,our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Tim 1:9-10). So, help my shoes of the gospel of peace flow into many lives giving them immortality.

By Combining Faith With Them
Jesus, I have had the gospel preached to me, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith (Heb 4:2). Help me always combine faith with everything You teach me so my shoes of the gospel of peace will function properly.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid (John 14:27). Jesus, I receive this peace; empower me with this peace so I don’t let my heart be troubled or afraid as I go forth with my shoes of the gospel of peace. |

By Overcoming The World With Them
Jesus, keep telling me these things, so that in You I may have peace. In this world I will have trouble. But empower me to take heart! Because You have overcome the world (John 16:33). Then let me take advantage of this truth so nothing will hinder me from moving forward with the shoes of the gospel of peace.

By Getting Peace With God Through Them
Jesus, since I have been justified through faith, I have peace with God through You, my Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 5:1). Now help me share that peace with those around me.

By Getting A Mind Controlled By The Spirit
Jesus, since the mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace (Rom 8:6), I yield my mind to the control of the Holy Spirit so He can control how I use the shoes of the gospel of peace.

By Getting The Fruit Of The Spirit Through Them
Jesus, since the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, and since against such things there is no law (Gal 5:22-23), fill me with all of the items of the fruit of the Spirit. Let these things fill me so I can have a powerful set of shoes of the gospel of peace.

Through Jesus
Jesus, You are my peace, Who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in Your flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. Your purpose was to create in Yourself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which You put to death their hostility. Then You came and preached peace to me who was far away and peace to those who were near (Eph 2:14-17). I thank You for including me in on this peace so I would be able to wear the shoes of the gospel of peace.
