John 7:17 (NIV) If anyone CHOOSES to do God’s will, he will find out whether My teaching comes from God or whether I speak on My own. Jesus, when You helped me choose to start studying and praying these things in these couses, You started exposing me to God’s will. I could have chosen to expose myself to self-help training, the things of pleasure, how to get rich, or how to be popular. I had a lot of choices I could have made that would have shaped me and my future. But, I thank You that You helped me make this major, general, big decision to go with You. Help see that this set me on a path that is going to help me make choices and decisions based on this one major decision.

Mat 7:13-14 (NIV) Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Make it clear to me that this is a choice that is controling all my other decisions. You helped me choose the small gate and the narrow road that leads to life. You helped me to reject the wide gate and the broad road that leads to destruction. That major decision that will make a huge difference in all the other choices and decisions I will make.

John 15:16 (NIV) You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in My name. Jesus, what if You didn’t offer me a choice of being born again? If You didn’t CHOOSE to offer Your own life for me, I COULDN’T decide to take the small gate and the narrow road that leads to life. Help me see that You had to choose us humans before we humans could take advantage of Your choice: John 10:17-18 (NIV) The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life--only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.

1 Cor 15:58 (NIV) Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Jesus, help me decide to keep moving forward in pursuing You; let that decision make it possible for me to do the same the next day. Show me that if I get off of the path for a little while, then I will have to repent and go back where I left off. Teach me that it’s like planting a garden, the reason I can harvest food is because I planted it. Gal 6:7 (NIV) Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Help me sow those things that allow me to reap a good harvest.

1 Cor 2:16 (NIV) For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. Jesus, teach me that this means I can understand, analyze, apply, and process dynamic and powerful spiritual thoughts. Help me see that this is a new ability for me; prior to salvation and justification, I couldn’t think any spiritual thoughts. 1 Cor 2:14 (NIV) The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1 Cor 2:9-10 (NIV) However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no MIND has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him”--but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. Jesus, let this empower me to see into the future as the Holy Spirit explains the Bible to me. Empower me to use these revelations of the Holy Spirit to make my earthly choices and decisions. Let them be based on those things that will enhance my eternal life. Help me not choose and decide like I am going to cease to exist when I die. Help me decide and determine to live this life in such a way that I am investing in my eternal future.

1 Cor 2:11-12 (NIV) For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit Who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. Jesus, empower me to know who I am, what I can do, and how to go about doing it. Help me always keep in mind that I am a child of God; help me always know that I can now live in Your power-life; and, help me always know how to apply The Six Biblical Principles so I can go about living The Victorious Christian Life.

1 Cor 2:13 (NIV) This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. Jesus, help it always be clear to me that the Bible is telling me the truth about how life works here and how things are going to be in eternity. Show me that it is like a light has been turned on for me; help me see that before, I was walking around in darkness. I was being taught misconceptions, fake knowledge, and even lies. But, I couldn’t protect myself from them because Your light wasn’t shining all around me so I could make good decisions. But, with Your light shining all around me, I can now see for myself what is true and what is false. Help me understand that as You and the Bible shine the light of truth on all of the things in this world, I can quickly SEE and MAKE good choices and good decisions.

Jesus, help me see what happens to me if someone lies to me and convices me that what they are telling me is the truth. Help me see clearly that my choices and decisions would be based on a lie. Teach me that light doesn’t tell me what to do, it just reveals the truth to me. It makes it POSSIBLE for me to base my choices and decisions on truth. Show me that as I submit my MIND to You, You don’t make me do anything. You just open it up so I can see clearly what is true and what is false. Then help me apply The Six Biblical Principles to the situation so I will be able to take what I SEE and get the power to do the right thing.
