Loving Myself, Others, And God Enough
To Submit My Choices And Decisions To Jesus
Jesus, empower me to always take step five in The Six Biblical Principles which is LOVE. Teach me that this is talking about God’s love rather than my love; Show me how it is a power-love that enables me to understand and feel what other people are going through. Help me always have an open MIND to God’s love so it can really effect all my choices and decisions. Show me that if I only have myself to consider, then I only have one person to think about. But, if You empower me to look into the hearts and lives of all those around me, there are a lot of things to consider.
Rom 5:5 (NIV) And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out HIS LOVE into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, Whom He has given us. Jesus, make it clear to me that God’s love leads me into making decisions that are win/win for everyone involved. Rather than me making my decisions alone in my own MIND, God’s love helps me sit down and consult all those who will be effected by the decisions. Let me find myself caring about what these other people think and what they see as being best for them. Once I start taking all these people’s opinions and needs through The Six Biblical Principles, let it awaken a whole new and wonderful aspect to how I make my choices and what kind of decisions I make.

MY CHOICES AND DECISIONS
I Am Submitting My Mind To Jesus Through Love
Mark 12:30 (NIV) Love the Lord your God with all your HEART and with all your SOUL and with all your MIND and with all your STRENGTH. Up until now, Jesus, You have been emphasizing my HEART, SOUL, MIND, and STRENGTH; but, make it clear to me that the major theme of this verse is LOVE. If I am going to LOVE God with all of me, then I am going to need a power that is superior to my own. Teach me that this is why God gave me His LOVE the moment I received salvation and justification. Now, as I bring my choices and decisions before God, let God’s love open my MIND to a much broader perspective.

Since I Have God’s Love
Jesus, teach me that loving God with ALL my MIND is the major process of submitting it to You. Help me understand that LOVE is the reason for why I do what I do. If I am motivated by hate, then that is why I am making a lot of the choices I am making and the decisions I am making. Teach me that there is an emotional aspect to LOVE that comes out of my heart. This was because God’s love was actually poured out in my heart: God has poured out HIS LOVE into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. However, help me see that God is requiring me to allow it to influence my MIND. Love the Lord your God with all your...MIND.

My Reasons For Loving
1 John 4:20 (NIV) If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. Jesus, help me understand that if I am making decisions that I feel demonstrate that I love God, but, as I start looking at how those decisions are affecting those around me, help me decide, based on others, whether or not these are selfish decisions. Help me join You in measuring all my decisions based on how they affect me and those around me. Help me measure my love for You based on how good my decisions are toward myself and others.

Thinking About Myself
Mat 7:12 (NIV) So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Jesus, show me that this requires me to stop and think, “would I want someone making those kinds of choices and decisions that affect me?” If I am involved in a decision I wouldn’t like being made for me, then help me see that it is vital that I submit my MIND in that area to You. Mark 12:31 (NIV) The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Show me how I would like people to demonstrate their love to me.

I Am Thinking About The Bible And Jesus
John 14:15 (NIV) If you love Me, you will obey what I command. John 15:12 (NIV) My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Jesus, if I have an area of my life where I want to be loved based on a decision that is a sin, help me NOT feel like my sinful decision IS me loving my neighbor as myself. Teach me that God’s love, that He has given me, sees love through the window of the Bible. Make it clear to me that all sinful decisions have damage they do to me and others on a long term basis. Show me that even though the decision may look like it is a loving decision in the begining, help me see that it will have wrong, bad, and evil consequences in the long run. Give me Your interpretation of decisions that I am make for loving my neighbor as myself. And, help me make decisions that are me doing to others what I would have them do to me.

I Am Submitting My Choices And Decisions To Jesus
Jesus, teach me that I actually have God’s love already; teach me that the way to submit my decisions to You through love is a process of yielding. Since I already have it, empower me to yield to it. As I am going through my day, help me make a decision as to what I will allow to motivate me. Help me ask You, AT THAT MOMENT, to empower me to yield to God’s love; help me NOT just do what I think is best. Teach me that this is a moment-by-moment, issue-by-issue decision as to whether I will ask You or I will consult my MIND.
