Jesus, teach me that whether it is The Six Biblical Principles or anything else in my life, ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK make them work. Help me see that even though ASK is a prayer, it is needed when I apply the PRAY principle in The Six Biblical Principles. Otherwise I will PRAY; but, I will not be praying through Your guidance, power, and wisdom. However, once I have gotten used to ASKING before I decide anything, I will be ready to add the SEEK dimension to all my choices and decisions. I will start ASKING You to empower me to get the intensity of the SEEK key. I will look to You for passion, determination, commitment, and enthusiasm.

Jesus, help me understand that just because I DESIRE to submit my choices and decisions to You, doesn’t indicate the amount. Help me know to what degree, how intense, and with what determination I want to submit my choices and decisions to You. Show me that even the ASK key is influenced by the SEEK key. If I am ASKING You to empower my to DESIRE to submit my choices and decisions to You, I could be ASKING casually. I could be saying, “it would be nice, if You would empower me with DESIRE to submit my choices and decisions to You.” Or, I could be saying, “PLEASE JESUS, empower me with the DESIRE to submit my choices and decisions to You!” Help me see that You really care about how intense my heart and MIND are engaged in an issue.

Mat 6:33 (NIV) But SEEK FIRST His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these THINGS will be given to you as well. Jesus, also help me understand that the SEEK key is not only dealing with intensity, it is also dealing with priority. Show me what I consider to be the most important issue on my list. Help my choices and my decisions to be made according to the ORDER of PRIORITY. Teach me that if I am making decisions about unimportant things, then I am neglecting making the important decisions. But, if I am SEEKING FIRST God’s kingdom and His righteousness, then I am putting my spiritual decisions as my top priority.

Heb 11:6 (NIV) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who EARNESTLY seek Him. Teach me that the SEEK key also deals with making God my most important issue. If I am applying The Six Biblical Principles to some one else most of the time, then THEY and my relationship with them is my most important relationship rather than God.

1 Cor 10:32-33 (NIV) Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God--even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not SEEKING my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved. Jesus, help me see that one of God’s ways of helping me create win/win situations is for me to put myself last. Mat 20:16 (NIV) So the last will be first, and the first will be last. Show me that if I am in a race and I spend all my time helping everyone else across the finish line before you cross it, in Your race, I am the winner. But, help me understand that this is a decision of me doing things Your way and not the world’s way. You helping me use the SEEK key would cause me to put a lot of people ahead of me.

John 4:23 (NIV) Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father SEEKS. Jesus, You said in John 5:30 (NIV): “By Myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and My judgment is just, for I SEEK not to please Myself but Him Who sent Me.” Teach me that the SEEK key points me toward God’s priorities; it is a matter of me allowing You and the Bible to tell me what God’s priorities are. Use the SEEK key to help me make God’s priorities my priority.

Rom 2:7-8 (NIV) To those who by persistence in doing good SEEK glory, honor and immortality, He will give eternal life. But for those who are self-SEEKING and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. Jesus, make it clear to me that the rewards for using the SEEK key are tremendous; and, the benefits of giving up being self-SEEKING are tremendous too. I am giving up wrath and anger and I am gaining eternal life.
