I Am Studying How To Submit My Choices And Decisions To Jesus
Jesus, help me with my choices and decisions through the second step into The Six Biblical Principles which is STUDY. But, help me understand that STUDY in this case isn’t me studying whatever; it is a process of me learning Your truths. John 7:17 (NIV) If anyone CHOOSES to do God’s will, he will find out whether My TEACHINGS comes from God or whether I speak on My own. I have a lot of things I can CHOOSE to study. Help me realize that almost EVERYTHING I study influences my choices and decisions. I may not mean for them to; but, they reside in my MIND and have some influence on what I DECIDE to do. Sometimes I have to read a lot of professional information; sometimes I have to expose myself to all kinds of people’s opinions. So, help me realize that if I don’t want all that information leading me into wrong choices and decisions, I will need to be a person who avidly STUDIES the Word of God.
Jesus, help me understand that my brain and MIND can be reasoned with. Show me that STUDY makes it possible for You to give me a convincing argument for a truth. If my MIND accepts it as a truth, it can embrace it and allow it to start helping me use them to guide me in my choices and decisions. Use this textbook to help me understand what You want me to learn. Also, use it to convince me of certain truths. Help me NOT be unable or unwilling to allow You to give me the facts, the understanding of its meaning, and the wisdom to apply it to my decision making. Let the prayers in the workbook empower me to make good choices and decisions that are based on You and Your Bible.

MY CHOICES AND DECISIONS
I Am Submitting My Mind To Jesus Through Study
Luke 24:45 (NIV) Then He (Jesus) opened their MINDS so they could understand the Scriptures. Jesus, make it clear to me that STUDY is useless without Your power-understanding being put in me. I have the Holy Spirit inside me; He wants to guide me into all truths. John 16:13-14 (NIV) But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into ALL truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to Me by taking from what is Mine and making it known to you. Jesus, teach me that STUDY is a very important thing for my brain and MIND. But, what I study makes all the difference as to what I store in my brain and what I expose my MIND to.

I Am Getting My Mind Healed
I Am Being Exposed To Supernatural Things
Luke 24:38 (NIV) He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your MINDS? Jesus, the world has trained me to only make my decisions based on what I can establish with my five senses. If it doesn’t make sense to me, then I have a hard time basing my choices and decisions on it. So, help me as I enter into God’s world; You are exposing me to Bible truths that are very different and much more supernatural than I am used to. Help me see that this takes me into suspicion, caution, skepticism, doubt, resistance, and evaluation. Make it clear to me that my brain and MIND are much weaker and limited than God and His truths. Help me understand that many of His truths are way over my head; I don’t have any point of reference to compare them to. So, as I weigh the Bible’s information using my brain and MIND, I can often reject the truth; that damages the choices I make.

I Am Being Exposed To Familar Terms
Luke 21:14 (NIV) But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. Jesus, this is a familiar term, “make up your mind.” I have done this lots of times as a human; however, help me see that if I use my human training, human effort, and human experiences to “make up my mind,” I will fail this assignment. Teach me that for me to “make up my mind” by yielding it to You, I will have to use a TOTALLY different system. It is the decision-making system I have been learning throughout these studies.

I Am Using A Familiar System
Jesus, make it clear to me that You won’t empower me to “make up my mind” for the right decision, if I don’t DESIRE You to. You won’t help me “make up my mind” for the right decision, if I don’t STUDY the Scriptures that guide me into making it up on the right truths. You won’t help me “make up my mind” for the right decision, if I don’t PRAY and ask You to. You won’t help me “make up my mind” for the right decision, if I don’t BELIEVE You have empowered me to do it. You won’t help me “make up my mind” for the right decision, if I don’t LOVE people enough to show them how to “make up their mind” for their right decisions. You won’t help me “make up my mind” for the right decision, if I don’t take FAITH-ACTION and decide on the basis of the fact that You have empowered me to “make up my mind” for the right decision.

I Am Replacing World Training
Mark 8:33 (NIV) But when Jesus turned and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter. “Get behind Me, Satan!” He said. “You do not have in MIND the things of God, but the things of men.” Jesus, help me see how Peter was using his world training and his human way of thinking as he tried to influece Your decision to go to the cross. Show me that when he tried to talk You into not going to the cross, he was way off base. Teach me that things that make perfect sense to me can be TOTALLY wrong. Teach me that it isn’t until I allow You to crowd out my human and world training that I see things like they really are. Teach me that it will be as if I have been living in total darkness and have finally had the light turned on.
Jesus, help me understand that this is what You are doing for me: Luke 8:16-17 (NIV) No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. Make it easy for me to see how this will greatly enhance my decision making process.
