Jesus, empower and train me on how to use spiritual systems for handling my problems. Help me to love my enemies, do good to those who hate me, bless those who curse me, pray for those who mistreat me (Luke 6:27-28).

Jesus, help me realize that the enemy-person is usually occupied territory of Satan. Help me want to be used by You to conquer that territory and take that person away from Satan. Teach me how to use Luke 6:27-28 to make that happen. But, help me keep in mind that I am dealing with this person’s will. If they don’t want to be delivered from Satan and experience the saving grace of God, they don’t have to. However, help me love them, do good to them, bless them, and pray for them, so I can use the best spiritual warfare techniques for conquering that territory for You. Let me set as many people free from sin and the devil as is possible. Let me help them make heaven their eternal home. Give me this awesome spiritual warfare.

Jesus, teach me what it means that I am not fighting against flesh and blood. Help me look differently at the various circumstances I face. Make me more aware of the fact that these situations need to be handled using spiritual warfare or spiritual principles rather than just “normal” systems. Empower me to cooperate with You so we can defeat the powers behind people, behind people-generated circumstances, and behind people-run organizations. Help me realize that, that is the way for the natural aspects of the circumstances to melt away. Help me keep in mind that Satan is often using people, using people-generated circumstances, and using people-run organizations to transport the sin and/or humanistic temptations to me.

Jesus, fill my heart and mind with the fruit of the Spirit. Gal 5:22b-23 (NIV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Teach me that if I fight back using anger, revenge, greed, human efforts, and world systems, I will get mauled spiritually. But, if I use love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; I defeat the powers behind people, behind people-generated circumstances, and behind people-run organizations. Teach me how to yield to You and Your power-methods of wining at life.

Jesus, teach me that my struggle is. . .against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Show me that this is a very important truth. Help me face these struggles with a whole new approach from You. Since this is going to be a spiritual battle, teach me how and empower me to use spiritual techniques and equipment.

Jesus, help me accept the fact that the weapons I fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, the weapons I fight with have divine power to demolish strongholds (2 Cor 10:4). Show me that if my battles were human issues, I wouldn’t need these kinds of weapons. But, since most if not all of my struggles are with spiritual issues, I am going to need to have these weapons readily available. Teach me how to use them; Your spiritual warfare training is very important to me.
