Jesus, help me understand this first requirement that has to do with my mouth. Help me understand that in order for my spirit to start breathing IN, I have to start telling my friends, relatives, and associates that I have accepted You as my Lord; and, help me let them know that I believe You are THE LORD of all existence. BUT, help me understand that, that assignment may be like a baby trying to pick up a chair. It may be like them trying to say “daddy” or “mother.” Help me understand that some of my first attempts may sound like the babblings of a baby. OR, if I am a late producer who will start off slow and then accelerate later, help me to make that acceleration.

Jesus, help me learn the difference between my human words and words from my spirit. Show me that if I plant a small pebble in the ground, it isn’t going to grow a pebble plant because it is dead. Teach me that when I speak human words, they are like pebbles. I might use them to build something, design something, or mix with something; but, I would never expect to use them to grow something. But, if I plant a seed, and if that seed is still alive, I would be able to grow a plant of the same type as the seed. Help me understand this truth that my mouth and heart have had THE truth planted in them. It is literally growing inside me, it is expanding, it is producing more truth, and growing into transformation and changes in my life; and then, it is flowing out of my mouth into my friends.

Jesus, make it clear to me that human words are like planting pebbles. They can give information to use to build my life. But, then I have to learn them, memorize them, use them, and apply them myself. This is called human teaching, human learning, and human effort. It consists of self-help training, self-motivation, being self-taught, being self-made, and only having personal accomplishment. Only to the degree that I “have what it takes” will I reach my goals. BUT, I remain where I am, believing what I believe, and accomplishing what I accomplished; I am alone! I am limited to my own resources.

Jesus, the truth coming from You is alive, it grows inside me, it improves me, it changes me, it heals me, it works miracles in me, and it protects me. I don’t have to take it and make it do these things. Rather than applying Your words, I just have to yield to them and allow them to do their work. I don’t have to learn a whole bunch of information on how to treat myself and other people. I just have to pray and ask You to empower me to love them and care about them as much as I love and care about myself. It then becomes obvious to me how to treat people like I would want to be treated.

Jesus, as You teach me how to talk, it isn’t like before. All I could do was express myself; I couldn’t speak things into existence. But, You went around saying things and it changed things. You spoke to a storm and it became calm; You spoke to a fig tree and it died; You spoke to sick people and they became well; and You spoke to addicted people and they were set free. Teach me that when I start breathing IN and OUT the Romans 10:9-10 truths, it is not only me learning how to breath, it is me learning how to live as a spirit being. It not only gives me constant life as I breath in and out through Romans 10:9-10, it starts speaking life into my friends.

Jesus, with human words, I would have to argue, convince, debate, and sell people on Christianity. But, with me going around telling people the truths in Romans 10:9-10, I am actually telling them that I have a new way of life. AND, I am actually planting seeds in them that will grow. I now believe something I didn’t believe before. I am talking about things I didn’t talk about before. Show me that once I let people know I believe You are Lord and that I have accepted You as my Lord, they will watch me to see what it does to me, in me, for me, and through me. But, what they don’t know is, I am not having to make these changes in myself; You are doing it with my cooperation.

Jesus, when I was telling people what I believed from a human perspective, I was talking as someone who HOPED I was right. I hoped that those things I believed were true. I hoped they would make me a better, more successful, and happy person. But, the truth about my belief system was, I WOULDN’T FIND OUT IF I WAS RIGHT UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE TO CHANGE.

If I married the person I HOPED was the right one for me, I wouldn’t find out until much later. If I joined a company or business partner that I HOPED was my best career move, I wouldn’t find out until much later. If I invested my money in HOPE, if I picked my career and got an education based on HOPE, I wouldn’t find out until much later.

Teach me that if I base my life on the One Who KNOWS, if I allow You to tell me the TRUTH about who to marry, who to go into partnership with, who to accept as my friends, who to choose to train me, and who to tell me what to believe, I WILL succeed in life. And as I succeed in life through this relationship with You, my partners, friends, associates, and contacts will be watching. As Your truths GROW in me and out of my life, my RESULTS will prove to my friends, associates, partners, and clients that You are alive, real, and trustworthy.
