Jesus, right now I am free to choose to commit sins or not. I and those around me are free to contaminate each other, if we want to. But, I choose to join God’s Kingdom; I want to be totally free to choose anything I want EXCEPT SIN. I want to be a part of God’s Kingdom; so, I am willing to lose my desire to yield to and participate in sin now. AND, I am willing to lose my ability and my opportunity to think or commit sin in eternity.

Jesus, teach me that as long as I remain in my current body, I will remain with the right to decide to commit sins; but, if I do, I forfeit my right to enter God’s Kingdom. When You come back to be King, I want to be one of those who have decided to be a part of You Kingdom; I want to have already agreed to this one loss of freedom. Make me willing to lose the ABILITY to think, feel, say, or do harm or destroy. Make me one who joined this Kingdom and has already agreed to live my life according to the knowledge of the Lord. Show me that it requires that I only do good things to myself and others.

Jesus, teach me that in Your Kingdom, the ways of God are going to dominate the planet like the waters cover the sea. Help me be willing to agree to these requirements so I can be allowed to join God’s Kingdom. Make it easy for me to understand that any other procedure would not produce a perfect Kingdom. Help me be WILLING to give up my right to sin (do bad things to myself and others). Help me believe You will set me free from the problems I am facing with drugs. Help me be willing so You can empower me to actually give up my right to sin.

Jesus, I believe that in that day You, the Root of Jesse, will stand as a banner for the people; the nations will rally to You, and Your place of rest will be glorious (Isa 11:10). Make me a part of that Kingdom.

Jesus help me understand this illustration of the tree stump that a branch grew out of. Teach me that an old tree that has been cut down and is only a stump would look like its life is over. Show me the meaning of this word picture of You and Your Kingdom growing out of a world that seems like it is doomed. The current situations of the governments have given me the feeling that there just can’t be a good government. I feel like all politicians will always be corrupt. Help me believe that this “Root of Jesse,” You, are going to prove to me that You are totally different from anyone I have ever met or heard of.

Jesus, teach me and help me understand that I am making my decision right now as to whether or not I want Jesus to be my King. Teach me God’s rule concerning who is and who isn’t accepting You as their King. Show me that after a I die, if I haven’t allowed You to ALREADY be my King, then I have voted against You and Your Kingdom. Teach me John 3:18 (NIV) Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already BECAUSE he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
