Eccl 9:2 (NIV) All share a common destiny--the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. As it is with the good man, so with the sinner; as it is with those who take oaths, so with those who are afraid to take them. Jesus, keep helping me see how Solomon got into this spiritual condition. Show me that Solomon’s body pulled him into serving other gods (idols) and having evil thoughts, the world enticed him into spending all his time with it, and the devil taught him all those things that are OPPOSITE the truths of God.

Jesus, in Genesis 2:16 the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.” Then in Genesis 3:4 Satan taught Eve: “You will NOT surely die,” the serpent said to the woman. Help me always realize that Satan opposes the truths of God with opposite lies. Whatever God says, Satan presents the opposite concept. Help me understand that he can’t create new thoughts; so, he produces opposing thoughts.

Eccl 9:3 (NIV) This is the evil in everything that happens under the sun: The same destiny overtakes all. The hearts of men, moreover, are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterward they join the dead. Jesus, show me how Satan works: Satan wanted Solomon to believe that it didn’t matter how he lived. He wanted him to believe that everyone just dies and then ends up ceasing to exist. Help me see how this lulled Solomon into a false sense of security. It was a depressing sense of security; but, it caused him to believe his sins didn’t matter.

Eccl 9:5-7 (NIV) For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten. Their love, their hate and their jealousy have long since vanished; never again will they have a part in anything that happens under the sun. Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for it is now that God favors what you do. Jesus, help me realize that this is killing multitudes of people. Help me speak against it.

2 Pet 3:11-13 (NIV) Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. Jesus, help me resist Solomon’s lies and yield to Your righteousness.

Jesus, help me see that 2 Peter 3:11-13 describles what is actually going to happen after all who will be allowed to live on earth have died. Show me that the end of God’s plan for this earth and the people who have lived on it will be as it says it will be:

Rev 20:11-15 (NIV) Then I saw a great white throne and Him Who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from His presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.

The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Jesus, show me that if Solomon failed to repent of all his sins and resist all these lies by accepting the truth, this is what will happen to him. Help me lead people out of Solomon’s deceptions into Your truth.

Rev 21:1-7 (NIV) Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and TRUE.” He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be My son. Jesus, I RESIST Solomon’s lies and yield to the TRUTH of the words from the Bible.

Rev 21:8 (NIV) But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. Jesus, help me learn from the fact that Solomon listened to the lies of Satan and accepted them as truth. Then he started teaching them to others. Help me understand that, that made him a liar. This verse says all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. Empower me and my friends, train us, and protect us from joining Solomon!

Eccl 9:9-10 (NIV) Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun-- all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. Jesus, make it clear to me that this is why it is so important to involve myself in “Resistance Through Truth.”

John 14:6 (NIV) Jesus answered, “I am the way and THE TRUTH and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Jesus, I accept You as the truth for my life.

John 14:12 (NIV) I tell you THE TRUTH, anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. Jesus, I believe that You are going to work in and through me in this way.

John 14:16-17 (NIV) And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever--the Spirit of TRUTH. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you. Jesus, I thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit so I can understand the truth and use it to resist the lies of my body, the world, and the devil.

John 17:17 (NIV) Sanctify them by the TRUTH; Your word is TRUTH. Jesus, I thank You for giving me the Bible, Your Word. I thank You for telling me the truth through it.

Acts 20:30-32 (NIV) Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears. Now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. Jesus, empower me to be able to resist these people. Fill me with your truth so I will immediately recognize the lies of Satan. And, help me be able to warn all of my friends so they can do the same.
